About this property

A charming 19th-century Tuscan farmhouse nestled among the vineyards of Chianti Fiorentino

  • Imagine waking up in the morning and stepping out onto the loggia with a cup of coffee in hand, having breakfast with friends or family, or enjoying it in the garden with a view that opens up onto the vineyards and olive groves of Chianti, surrounded by the silence of the countryside. These are the spaces where your day begins before you set out to explore the area.

The kitchen, spacious and modern yet retaining the charm of its original fireplace, is designed to be the true heart of the home (just as it was originally): whether you’re preparing a quick lunch after a day exploring Florence or cooking an important dinner together. The large living room on the ground floor is where everyone gathers in the evening, perhaps with a glass of Chianti Classico purchased from one of the wineries just a stone’s throw from the house.

Upstairs, the four bedrooms—each with access to one of the three spacious bathrooms with showers—offer every member of the group their own private space: ideal for multigenerational families who want to be together without sacrificing everyone’s privacy, or for groups of friends splitting up among multiple rooms. On the ground floor, there’s also a second spacious living room equipped with large closets.

The house—recently renovated—is equipped with all the comforts. The designer kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances (including a full-size refrigerator).

Heating is gas-powered (billed based on usage), but the house has heat pumps for heating and cooling in the first-floor bedrooms.

From the outside, you enter the house through an electric gate set in a classic Tuscan courtyard. The 1,200-square-meter garden is where time truly slows down: an outdoor aperitif while watching the sunset over the hills, an early morning stroll among the olive trees (there are about 30 of them). In the fall, during the grape harvest, the colours and scents of the Tuscan countryside surrounding the house speak for themselves as to why this is the most beloved season among those who truly know Chianti.

San Casciano in Val di Pesa is just two kilometres away. In addition to all the amenities (supermarkets, shops), it offers authentic restaurants, a weekly market, and the genuine daily life of a true Tuscan village—while Florence, with the Uffizi, the Duomo, and its historic markets, is just a 25-minute drive away: the house is the perfect base both for those seeking the tranquility of the countryside and for those who want to spend their days immersed in art and culture in the city, returning in the evening to the peace and quiet of Chianti. The house’s location is also ideal for visiting Siena, Pisa, and Versilia (45, 50, and 70 minutes away).

Since all the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the ground floor, accessible only by stairs, the house is not suitable for guests with limited mobility.
