Dirty room, check in was unfriendly with little to no information about usage or amenities. Super loud guests in hall ways at all hours, had to call reception multiple times to resolve. Parking was a problem every day. Lastly I think Expedia members are not given choice rooms. Restaurant was good however buffet line was always extreme.
We arrived to friendly staff that allowed us to park our small motorcycles in the front over night. The hotel was clean and near all of the places we wanted to see during our stay.
I liked the staff at the restaurant, they were great!
The hotel is old and it’s understandable that things tend to break, but I believe they could do a better job. The beach at the beach club was dirty, no staff working to clean it up and homeless people were camping next to it. Terrible experience. Got there early (9am) and no staff was able to get you drinks or food at that time, stating the club opens at 11.
Room service with mediocre food the last night of my stay lost power had no lights no air-conditioning with no effort to discount my stay for the inconvenience.
The spa was amazing with amazing customer service
Very old hotel. Room had a gorgeous view of the marina and the Tetakawi. The floors had a bunch of long straight black hairs EVERYWHERE.. The bed was very comfortable and clean The a/c works really well. The shower is extremely small. Appreciated the complimentary bottled water. The hotel's restaurant is a 5 minute walk ( right in front of the marina) it has a quite limited "buffet" but you cannot serve yourself and the service is extremely slow. We HIGHLY recommend skipping the restaurant altogether. The bar is ok and the lady bartending was friendly. There's no beach at the hotel but they have a golf cart to take you to it. They offer shuttle service from Guaymas airport to the hotel for a fee. We rented a car so I don't know how much they charge. The front desk lady was very friendly. For the price we expected something newer but the hotel staff was VERY friendly.

Disliked: Staff & service
Our stay at this hotel was terrible.
The first and most serious issue was that we were bitten by bedbugs. We woke up with red welts from the bites.
The second problem was the beds — they were awful. The mattresses are old and you can feel the springs underneath. The balcony of our room was also very dirty, covered in pigeon droppings.
The third issue was dealing with the staff, which was the worst part of the experience. It seemed like they worked for different companies because they couldn’t even agree on the schedules of the hotel’s own amenities. One of the reasons I chose this place was for the beach club (which, in my opinion, was not very nice). However, what they don’t tell you is that the hotel offers its amenities for private events. During our stay, there was a wedding that weekend. I asked about the beach club hours and the front desk told us one thing, but they never informed us about the wedding. The next day, we planned our day around going to the beach club, only to find out that access for guests was closed due to wedding preparations.
That wasn’t even the worst part — the employees gave us looks of annoyance, and there was clearly a lack of teamwork among them.
I do not recommend this place at all. It is overpriced for the poor experience they provide. In San Carlos, Sonora, there are many newer hotels with much better infrastructure for the same price or even less.
The good: The room was clean, ac worked, and great location if I want to be near the Marina. The view of the city is less ideal, but still pretty nice. Lots of night life and there are restaurants opened at 6am if you are doing early morning activities.
The bad: the hallway and each room has very thin sound shielding. You can hear most conversations and shouting tourists in the halls...at all hours of the night. Additionally live music is played until 11pm on some nights. Highly recommend ear plugs plus blasting white noise.
The room service is okay, they will require you to have a room service card otherwise they will not service your room. Service is completed on the 5th floor around 3:30pm...which is very late. Room service also did not refresh sheets.
There is both a public pool for marinaterra (free) and a private pool for the condos/villas that can be rented. The separation is very weird. And multiple elevators and likely service is completely different at a condo/villa.
We also had a power outage only for marinaterra which lasted 18hours. Since it was November this was not a big issue. But if it was hotter it would be pretty bad. No lights also means you must have a flashlight (or 3) and I highly recommend a backup battery to charge a phone and light.
I had all this with me b/c I was on a diving trip so this was no big deal, but a larger family might have a lot of stress with dead phones and other necessities. Especially when spread across multiple rooms.
Check in was very poor, nothing was explained , polite but no friendly at all, no poolside service exist here, long lines at buffet Seems a place focused in a local tourism .
Well everyone in the staff are wonderful helpful and always at your service I got my stay for 4 days that I decided to stay one more day and continue exploring my surroundings especially the yachts
