"I had the most enjoyable stay at Casa Anabela during my two-night visit to Quito. Maria greeted me upon my arrival and provided outstanding service. She offered me a choice of rooms to ensure I had the best experience. Mary greeted me in the morning for breakfast. The food was great, the coffee was delicious, and her service was friendly and also outstanding. I definitely recommend this hotel. The only other feedback involves the school behind the hotel. During the week, the children arrive early and can be a bit noisy. If you are an early riser, this would be a non-issue. Other than that, everything is great. "

Well worth the experience.

"This is a very different style hotel if you are used to staying in the big chains. We had a family room booked for my family of 3. My son slept in the loft and loved it. The hotel appears to have been completely restored. Lots of old wooden features and art work. There is a wine cellar where you can purchase a bottle of wine and there is a spiral stair case that takes you to the roof and gives you a GREAT view of the historical area of Quito. We encountered rain every night so we did not get the chance to go to the roof and enjoy a drink. Hotel does provide loaner umbrellas cause when it rains in Quito, it RAINS. This is an old hotel, so the floors do squeak in spots but you get used to it. Staff was amazing, they helped us book a tour and transportation. They also made us breakfast every morning with fresh fruit and eggs. Location is great. You are like 5 blocks to the basilica church in one direction, 4 blocks to a "mall" that has great food options. And 2 blocks to Teatro Sucre which is where a bunch of tour groups pick up."

A first class operation and the rooms were charming and perfect for our stay! When in Quito, this would be a perfect spot to rent for several weeks.
