Location to sites was perfect. Neighborhood was disappointing. Glad to see it is being renovated but felt sketchy. Inside was accurate and comfortable. No extra ammenities provided. No binder with info on the area. No checkout instructions. Minimal. House was beautifully decorated thou.

mixed emotions

The Pros: The pictures of the listing are pretty accurate, for the inside. The home is very clean and updated. It is located very close to downtown. The Cons: Owner is not very good with communicating. I asked before we left on our trip if I could have the check in/out information so I could print it out. Never heard back. Didnt receive the check in info until the day we arrived, and I had to ask for it. Be forewarned that the home is in a very old run-down area of town. It is at the end of a small dead-end street. I booked this for our friends 40th Anniversary getaway and we all sat in the vehicle in shock wondering if we had the wrong address. I was so disappointed. Hubbys went in the house while we sat in the car to make sure it was ok to go in. The inside was beautiful and it has its own high fence enclosed driveway as well as a high fence surrounding the house. We decided to give it a night bc we were too tired to look for anything else. There is no welcome packet with instructions for check in/out info or wifi info and passwords or helpful information about the area (things most owners supply you with). The owner never contacted us to see if we got in ok or needed anything. There is only a couch and chair in the living room and the chairs leg was broken. (so only seating for 3) We never got tv in bedroom to work. The worst part is that there is a train track a block away and the train runs all day and ALL night.(found earplugs in master nightstand) They blast the horn very loudly about ten times each time they pass. Dogs next door barked every night to be let in. every time you open the door, flies come in. Found two dead flies in the coffee pot. The pictures show cushions on the chairs outside and string lights for nighttime enjoyment. There were no cushions on the chairs and we couldnt figure out where the lights turned on and off. Again, no helpful instructions left by owner. We ended up staying because I didnt think we would get our money back. We didnt feel threatened during our stay, it was close to downtown and the interstate. We made the best of it. Owner doesnt list extra amenities (I had to ask) so to let you know, there was a hair dryer in master bath, washer/dryer with detergent, coffee pot with (Great Value) coffee and filters. Fly swatter under kitchen sink. Dish and dish washer liquid. assorted baggies. some spices. Hand soap at all sinks. No shampoo/conditioner but a couple of hotel bath soap bars.
