Not the greatest part of town. Easy enough access to the River walk but have to go through quite a bit of homeless to do it. Didn’t feel too safe walking after dark. Also, parking was VERY limited at the hotel, maybe 5 spaces which was $15/night or offsite parking that was around the block for $10/night. Elevator was a bit shady at times and only 1. They charged my card before a day before my checkout with additional charges for the parking fees. Overall, I’d rather stay on the river walk next time.

The hotel is located in the original location of the San Antonio Jail from the late 1800s to early 1900s. Very interesting location for its historic location.

Parking is around the side of the building, which is opposite side of the ramp if you have a stroller or wagon or wheelchair. The elevator is all the way to the back of the building and the breakfast eggs are alreay precooked. The room size was perfect and clean. Love the shower size

This hotel is pretty nice with a decent Continental breakfast and comfy beds with nice pillows. One of my only complaints is the parking situation. Their lot only fits a handful of cars (less than 10) so unless you're really lucky, you'll likely be relegated to the overflow parking lot around the corner which is not only kinda sketchy, but you have to pay an extra $10 a night for the privilege. This is something I wish I would have known going in to it.

This property was very clean with decent size rooms. The distance to the Riverwalk and shopping was nice. Extremely quiet rooms from the outside noises. Breakfast had good options. For the price it was well worth it for the location.

Stayed for a week. The room was comfortable and cleaned regularly. The staff were friendly and fun to talk to, and the location was perfect for walking downtown. Pool area was clean. The stationary bike and the treadmill in the gym were both broken.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Room was a bit drab and rundown and the phone in the room wasn't working. The alarm clock wasn't set at the proper time. There was no phone in the hallway. I feel there should always be a phone in the hallway to reach the front desk in case of emergencies. My key wasn't working and I had to go down to the front desk because I couldn't call because there was no phone in the hallway. The complimentary breakfast was very good. Overall a pretty good experience.

Easy 1/2 mile walk to Alamo & surrounding area. Staff friendly & helpful. Breakfast was meh. Limited parking onsite...when full parking available in lot around the corner. Building is the former home of Bexar County Jail...listed on National Historic Register.

The first two ladies that I came in contact with at the front desk were very very rude. Frank was the only employee that I encountered this stay that was so welcoming and friendly. He was very helpful and cared about our stay.

Excellent service.
The staff was super friendly. When we got to our room, it was very cold so we put the heat on and set the temp. The AC kept blowing and went above temp. We tried to turn it off but, even on off it wouldn’t turn off. We called the front desk and they sent some immediately. Try as they must they couldn’t resolve the issue so they moved us in a better room. We brought my Steam Deck so my gf and I can play Golf with Friends when we are done with our evening. The remote wouldn’t let us change to the input so we contact the front desk again. They provided us with a new remote and we were able to enjoy our gaming after a night out with our friends. Breakfast in the morning was nice. Bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, cereal, pastry’s, biscuits, juice, coffee, etc. Would definitely stay again. The service was amazing. 11/10.
