Lovely with a few hiccups
This is a beautiful property. The location is great, quiet and easy to find. However, the owners never saw our booking and it wasnt until i enquired about the key, did they realise. Its an ipen plan living space and there had been no heating on (the caretaker said it had been switched off) and so it was pretty cold for a couple of days until it heated through. There was a beautiful log burner but we were only left 4 logs so it didnt last long, and when i asked if we could get more they didnt answer me!!!! The look, the feel and layout are all spot on. I would say that things like the towels, teatowels and miss matched bedding could to with an update. Small, mismatched towels, different duvets covers in the twin, could be small details that would really make it perfect. Especially when other things are really lovely!!! As amny reviews i read did mention no curtains downstairs, the only place it really bothered me was at the front door would make it cosier and more private. The area is well worth a visit!!

We will definitely be back!
The accommodation is lovely - quite unique with an old fireplace, log burner and high ceilings. It was very quiet and cosy. The property is well located for Staithes which is just a 20 minute walk away and well worth visiting. We also visited Whitby and Saltburn as both are only a short drive away.

Lovely house
We enjoyed our 3 night stay here, the house is very unique. It was clean and well equipped, all the beds were very comfortable too. The Moorhen cafe next door served an excellent full english breakfast and the staff were very friendly. The location of this property makes it a perfect base for exploring the lovely coastal areas. We would love to return here in Summer. The log burner looks great but it did struggle to heat the living room(sofa area) at night, just due to the high ceilings. This wasn't a problem as we used the portable electric radiator to top the heat up. A curtain or covering at the kitchen window/front door would make it feel it a little more cozy.
