We had such a great time as a family of four with 8 and 11 year old boys. Hotel was smashing - clean with great food and the pool was loved by the kids. Both parks were lots of fun. We will definitely be returning.

The hotel was well maintained, and ideal for the park and the pool was nice. However having stayed in Hotel Portaventura I preferred my stay there as it was easier to walk into Salou from that hotel.

Very clean and modern room. When comparing to other on site hotels, this was the best for us by far. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would have been 5/5 if it had its own courtesy room (the one at gold river was disgusting) and they would have let us have dinner on check out evening. We paid for 6 days of meals but did not use day 1 because our flight arrived very late and we missed dinner. The hotel is also at the top of a hill.

Hotel appeared understaffed. Toilet near the pool was very dirty.pool bar closed . Only warm water available to buy at dinner.2 euro charge per pool towel! Never experienced charge other than deposit at hotel! Staff on reception did not want to answer questions , directed me to app on more than one occasion . Room was very clean Dining area littered with dirty plates big queue for slow entry. Food was good at dinner average at breakfast.

We stayed at this hotel with our family as we visited Port Aventura park. The hotel bed linen smelled very bad and the towels in the shower were not extremely clean as someone would expect. Dinner did not have great options nor did it have great quality, so the second night we chose to not eat in the hotel although we had paid for it. The only great thing was the breakfast! The breakfast buffet was amazing with great options for the whole family.

I cannot recommend this property enough! We are a family of four, two adults and two children of 15 and 12. The hotel is beautiful, set close enough to the parks to walk in casually but far enough away that the hustle and bustle feels like a million miles away. We couldn't hear the firework shows or theme park at all. Every staff member is incredibly helpful, all of which I encounterd speaking very good english. They booked taxi's for us and helped with every little request. The lobby can be very busy at check-in times. On the taxi's front, I would note that no taxi's can possibly access the hotel between 9:30-11am due to the park opening and the roads being grid-locked, so factor that into booking flights home. There's a pool on site that is 1.2 meters at it's deepest point, perfect for lounging and being relaxed. You can also use the pools at the neighbouring hotels to give a range to try. The room was clean, filled with all the amenties we needed and the air conditioning was a blessing! Everytime we stepped into the room, we all sighed with relief (we visited in August in 36 degree heat). Room cleaning came everyday if we didn't put the 'do not disturb' sign out. Food is a morning and evening buffet, with lunch vouchers for inside the parks (no lunch at the hotel). There's a huge range of foods, something for everyone. Our 12 yo is autistic and very fussy, but had platefuls every night. I would 100% encourage you to choose this hotel for a fun-filled holiday!

Hotel was beautiful, clean well organised and smelled amazing. The far west theme from Portaventura park was continued throughout the area and the various hotels around. Really lovely touch. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and well maintained by housekeeping. Food was delicious and the variety off food available was excellent. Can’t wait to go back. Fantastic family holiday.

Great themepark hotel, not so great service

PortAventura is quite similar to Disneyland, both in size and quality, and Hotel Colorado is quite nice and very thematic. However, the service was terrible. The only good service was the guy helping us with our luggage. 5/5 for the park, and the hotel itself, but 3/5 for non-functioning AC in the room and too many restrictive rules to have fun in the pool, and 1/5 for the breakfast, as you need to arrive within a 30 min window, and finish within another 30 min window. No exceptions, and very rigid. Great park and good hotel, but be prepared for a very rigid and unflexible system at breakfast.

The location of this property is a good 10-15 minute walk from the Port Aventura park entrance, it is not that close. On checkin we were given our room number, and spent about 10 minutes walking around the hotel trying to find it, only to eventually realise we were in a separate building. No directions given. Very little food options, no real amenities in the hotel itself. Breakfast buffet was quite nice. No tea or coffee in the room at all, only option was to buy one. I wouldn't be rushing back to stay here. Park was fun.

Great location for theme park

We stayed in a family room that was large enough for two adults and two kids (12 & 10). The room had two large beds and a couple of chairs. Though the room was very comfortable, but it did lack basics as there were no tea making facilities and no iron. The reception was also unable to provide a kettle! No water provided either and nowhere in the hotel to get ice or even hot water to make tea. Note when arriving by car, you have to park about 30m away from the hotel reception and carry your bags in. You then have to immediately move your car to the carpark. The bell staff weren't particularly helpful. On the plus side, the reception staff were helpful and polite. We opted for half board which was good value. Big buffet breakfast in the morning and another good buffet in the evening. But you have to pre-book a time slot (40mins for breakfast and 60 minutes for dinner). Waiters come round and remind you how much longer you have before you need to leave! Good food though. The hotel is only 7 mins walk from the 'hotel guest' entrance of PortAventura. The walk is through themed grounds (Wild West) lined with a few restaurants, so a nice walk. Our stay included fast track tickets to the park as well, so we could enter and leave the park unrestricted throughout the stay, and use the fast track 10 card on 10 attractions within two days of first use. Colorado Creek is a great choice if you have a car and want to visit PortAventura.

Great hotel staff amazing checkin smooth, comfy beds and pillows. Fridge and safe in the room which was great. Missed a shower/bath mat and kettle with tea and coffee but maybe that’s a British thing. Overall would go back in a flash. Nice a close to park, great food at restaurant, overall 5 stars from us

We spent 20 minutes walking around the hotel griunds as was sent by reception to an incorrect location for our room yet our room was a 2 minute walk from reception. Our key card would not work on our room and took 3 trips to reception to get fixed. I was hesitant about staying at Port Aventura having read the reviews but this was outlined to be the best hotel. It was in a quite location and was clean and comfortable (we booked a deluxe room). My only issue was the service and lack of communication which would make such a difference if improved. They also had no iron in the room and when I called reception, they said they don't have any.

The food at the hotel was really poor....when there was any.....lots of empty space and hungry residents. They didn't make up our room or change our towels until we complained. Our children in room 2 did not experience the same issue. I asked to speak to the manager but he did not show himself which I think explains why the place loves to take your money but makes no care to ensure the customer experience is good.
