Nice looking hotel, Not very impressed with the reception staff, I requested an extra mattress for the sofa bed, the lady was a bit rude and was to busy looking at her computer, she said she would get one sorted, but I could tell she wouldn't get me one as she had no interest.

We were very pleasantly surprised how well the theming, cleanliness and tranquility of the hotel and its grounds were. Breakfast was superb as was the evening buffet. We would definatley return 😊

Just back from 10 days in Caribe. Found the staff to be excellent as ever, special shout to Chus in the breakfast area of San Juan. Always happy and cheery, nothing was too much trouble. Room felt it had seen slightly better days but clean, tidy and well laid out. Air con was good. Perhaps a refurb is required to bring it back up to standard, especially the bathroom. Nothing wrong with it, just tired and a little modernisation needed. Lack of sockets around the bed was a pain so you had to unplug lights to charge your devices so meant that the lighting wasn’t great if you wanted to charge or plug anything else in. Could do with things USB (USB-C) sockets and better lighting overall. Just a bit lacking compared to higher end hotels in terms of visuals and modern amenities. Port Aventura itself was busy during Friday and Saturdays and quiet midweek. Was disappointed compared to previous year’s Halloween theming. Felt that it was really minimalist compared to the what’s been there before and it looked like it had been really cut back. Merchandise was also the same as previous years as well and nothing overly new. As ever, park was clean & tidy, and staff were friendly and helpful. Shows were good as well.

Nothing going on at the hotel, restaurants weren’t open, no entertainment! 2 lovely pool areas with not enough umbrellas and one without access to a bar. The hotel itself is nice, staff are friendly and it’s convenient for both the parks and Salou centre.

Caribe Hotel - Great Stay

Staying at the Caribe Hotel was lovely. They had 2 pools to choose from, whereby one was beach themed. The food was really nice and they had a great selection. You could walk to the theme park which was ideal. The only downside was that there were no trolleys to help take your luggage to your room which would have been nice.

The hotel was quite quiet during the day, it seems most people were in the parks, this meant not much choice for food or drinks in hotel during the day. But loved the connection to the parks and being able to walk just 15mins to be in Portaventura, but also option to walk to the beach in around 15minutes too. Best Portaventura hotel in terms of distance from beach. Best of both worlds.

Very clean property, with sone oddities. Difficult to find snacks specifically water after bars close in the evening. We struggled to find a vending machine that sold any soft drinks or water, cigarettes and park tickets were available though. Also there us an indiorbpool, but was closed until 18:00pm and was an extra charge of €10 per person. Otherwise generally nice pools with a man made beach.

The room was lovely , with a good view of the swimming pool, the food was great very good selection , the only bad thing was the cleaners. When we got to the room there was no hand soap , no shower gell and no shampoo all dispensers were empty, we askedthe cleaners for showegel 4 times but never got any. Good but be aware…..

Checkin was efficient in terms of taking details and giving passes. No detail on the hotel, restaurant, bar and pool was given. I asked what time the hotel restaurants close - was told 10pm. That night we found out only the mobbed buffet restaurant was open. Not an issue if we had known as we would have gone elsewhere. So service at reception needs to be looked at. The hotel pool and communal areas are lovely - the rooms let the hotel down. They need updating and the bathrooms renovated. Towels in the bathroom were threadbare.TV had very few channels, not even bbc worldwide. I would go back, but I’d be wary if the price you pay and what’s open - we travelled in peak (July). Overall a good 3 star option - def not a 4 star as the rooms let the property down.

When we arrived at Hotel Caribe Portaventura they gave us a tiny smelly and ugly room. After complaining they gave us a normal room. It’s a big resort hotel but outside of breakfast and dinner they o it have a pool bar open which sells food and drinks. It took me 45 minutes to get a coke, 2 waters and 2 ice cream costing over €20. In that time they only managed to serve 7-8 people. Some days were better but some days were not. Guests could not wear sunglasses at the pool unless they had a cable attached. Stupid rule and ruined my fun each time I went to the pool. I need them to see. I made a complaint about the above and Portaventura felt that 3 free drinks vouchers made up for it. You can only use them for beer or soft drinks.

Generally good and reasonable price but basic

Reasonably priced, nice pools, but quite basic and not 4 star in my opinion. Basic rooms that are tired with smelly and basic bathrooms. Sunloungets by the pool are old plastic loungers and uncomfortable. Strange rules like you cannot wear sunglasses in the pool unless you have bands around your head to keep them in place. Never experienced this anywhere in the world. Lifeguards enforce this rule, I guess for safety, yet you allow guests to have glassware at the side of the pool? People drinking beer out of glass mugs. Crazy! Service at pool bar was poor. 25 minutes to get a hot dog, and then the drinks machine wasn’t working. Also, they advertise a gym but it doesn’t open until 6pm!? What!? Ridiculous. Most people workout on a morning so this is a stupid rule and as such meant I could not use the gym. False advertising. I would not go back, instead I’d probably go to the main PortAventura hotel which I think is much better and worth the extra money.

Terrible experience with this hotel. It is not our first stay here and we had an amazing memories from last time. However, this time it was a complete fail. First of all, rooms are so outdated and worn. In the first room sockets and table lamps were not working. We asked to change the room and got the room with not working shower and falling metal handles. Secondly, rooms are dirty. We stayed 5 nights and the floor was not properly mopped in any of them. All furniture was dusty and filthy. Overall impression of the hotel was - old and worn. Doesn’t worth the money at all I have mixed feelings about service. Some people were trying to help but the effectiveness of their help was poor. Most people do not speak English (however the description of the hotel suggests they speak many languages). The check in was horrible, we shall wait for our room for half an hour after check in time. Next day before we moved to another room, we were kinda “homeless” until 3.30pm. Which I don’t believe was fair as we paid for this time to have access to the room and not just to stay in limbo. Of course, we did not receive any of the VIP benefits. No discount was applied or even offered. No room upgrades. It was funny as we checked Expedia and saw rooms available but reception ignored it and said - no, we cannot give them. Well, then do not promise upgrades. And a very small thing. No transfer to the park from the hotel. You need to walk about 15 minutes under the sun. Small but annoying thing
