"The accommodations were generally fine. The biggest issue was communication with the host who spoke no English. He tried hard but it was difficult. There were no instructions other than how to enter the condo. We’re used to having a host leave restaurant recommendations, things to do, points of interest, places to shop, how to use the washing machine, etc. The kitchen implements were dated. "The house was very cozy, the chimney and attention to details made it feel like home. It was clean, very nicely located and spacious. The views were very nice, and parking slot was very helpful too! "There is no a/c. We double checked the listing and it says a/c - but that is not accurate. It cools down overnight with the lower temps, but quickly heats up during the warmer days and you have to keep the shutters closed to keep it cool. Furniture - oh my. Way too large and clunky and shrinks the space. And the white couch (just get rid of it) that is so old it sheds the fake leather. "Pros: The owner has thought about all details, and made it very enjoyable to stay in that apartment. USB-socket for recharging phone and even possibility to connect phone to speakers in the room. Kitchen well equipped. TV has a lot of channels. Very good bathroom. The apartment was perfectly clean. Cons: Everything was fine. "Good value hotel. I liked being able to control heatng in my room; presence of a lift (albeit very small), especially as the staurcase was soiral and narrow; effective double glazing; reasonably priced breakfast; close to main avenue and cable car. Negative points: it was a bit of a trek from the SNCF station (20 minute walk); no shower holder so had to kneel down in bath and hold with one hand."
