Lovely stay, excellent food!

Had a lovely short stay at Auberge Basque. We took a garden room which was very cute and well decorated. The only downside was it was next to the carpark and road which was noisy and you could only have natural air by opening the back doors - We didn't want to use the air con so at night the room was a bit hot. The 6 course tasting menu was fantastic with some very interesting flavour mixes!

THIS is the place to stay when staying near Saint Jean De Luz. We actually decided to book here last-minute after our other hotel (highly rated, btw) was lackluster and we wanted to keep the good vacation vibes going. This is a renovated estate with the original building dating from the 1600s. We stayed in the smallest room, but even this was super well appointed and comfortable for two people. The pool area is amazing, and it's so nice to have a Michelin-rated restaurant as part of the auberge. If that's not your thing, it's still nice to have a glass of wine on the terrace or enjoy their breakfast. I have no idea why I didn't book this place originally, but maybe I was deterred by what seemed like a farther distance from the ocean? In hindsight, I should have just gone here first. This hotel is infinitely better than the seaside locations, and it sits atop a hill so that you get amazing views of the valley/basque countryside. It's also only a short drive to the beach, and it's nice to have a countryside retreat from the chaos of Biarritz/SJDL. Also, the staff was so lovely and attentive and made everything feel like a luxe getaway for what I think is a pretty reasonable price for the area.

Très bel hôtel !

Hôtel magnifique de quelques chambres ! Très beau standing. L’accueil, le service sont parfaits. La chambre 9 est grande et très bien équipée (café, eau plate, eau gazeuse, enceinte connectée). Chambre très propre et insonorisée. Petit déjeuner copieux (brunch). Extérieur très bien avec piscine. Parfait pour se reposer et boissons à volonté. Nous reviendrons.

小さな庭がついたお部屋、可愛らしいインテリアなど、お部屋の雰囲気は最高。スタッフの方もフレンドリーな対応でとても快適でした。レストランで食事をしましたが、食べきれなかったチーズとお菓子は部屋にはこんでいただいたり、本当に素敵な時間でした
