La PETITE RETAISE is the name of this house. located Intra-muros des remparts of village St martin de ré , with pool open and heated middle april until end of september (closed october to beginning of april)

Light-filled living room with open-plan fitted kitchen, 2 bedrooms. 1 shower room with douch and toilet, 1 separate toilet, 1 balcony-terrace for a cup of coffee in the sun, 1 large courtyard with heated pool*, a patio for meals in the sun. all quiet and out of sight. Free WIFI.

Swimming pool:
Open and heated from mid-April to end of September. Water temperature depends on outdoor temperature.
Protection with a tarpaulin bar to be repositioned after swimming and in the evening for the safety of children and to maintain water temperature.
Bed linen and towels not included in the price.

Beautiful

We very much enjoyed our stay at Petite retaise - it is a really lovely holiday house with all the amenities we could have wished for. We all particularly enjoyed the pool and it was great to be within walking distance of the town. A small issue we had was sorted out very quickly without any questions.We would love to go back there again.

Petite Retaise had everything and more that we could have asked for. Super comfortable bed and sofa, which, when you have a bad back is such a relief! Spotlessly clean. The pool was fabulous and used every day. The owner’s communication was brilliant and everything was much appreciated. Highly recommended.

A lovely place

We spent a fantastic week at Le Petite Retaise with glorious weather which meant the pool was brilliant and was used a lot. It was an easy 10 minute walk to the centre of St Martin and also close to the main supermarkets and bike hire. The place was really comfortable and the service from Sonia the concierge was brilliant. She even let us check in early when we arrived sooner than expected. I would highly recommend it and would love to go back in future

Review of Petite Retaisse

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Petite Retaisse. The only thing we would like to mention is the problems experienced with the swimming pool. The description of the property quoted a 'heated pool' but the pool was very cold indeed. The pool level continued to drop & was topped up by the engineer, with cold water, on a daily basis. We made Justine aware of this. We were also not told to cover the pool at night until mid way through our holiday. We were advised by the pool engineer that the skimmer was faulty & had to be replaced. This took a few days to sort out & we were not able to enjoy the pool as we would have liked. All in all the pool was unusable for the majority of our stay. We feel that this problem should have been discovered prior to our arrival so that we could enjoy the house as advertised & paid for. We look forward to your comments.

Petite maison rétaise au coeur de Saint Martin

Nous sommes venus en février avec notre grande fille. Espace idéal en hiver. Le port de Saint Martin accessible à pied et la piste cyclable à 300m. Nous connaissions l'île de ré l'été pas l'hiver. C'est fait. Quelle tranquillité aux terrasses, pas d'embouteillage sur les pistes cyclables et seuls au monde sur les magnifiques plages. Maison au calme au fond d'une impasse décorée avec goût et très bien équipée. Très belle expérience à renouveler.

Très belle maison où il fait bon vivre ! Elle est tout équipée, lumineuse et d'une propreté impeccable! La possibilité de se garer devant la maison est très appréciable. Elle est idéalement située dans un cadre d'exception. L'accueil est très chaleureux, nous avons été très bien reçus! La communication avec les propriétaires était facile et rapide! Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la piscine chauffée et les deux terrasses qui nous ont permis de profiter un maximum du beau temps! Je recommande sans hésiter cette magnifique maison ! Très agréable maison typique de l'île située aux confins des remparts. Situation idéale pour évolution dans la capitale et sur l'île. Les deux cours, ainsi que l'emplacement réservé de parking sont un plus inestimable sur l'île. Configuration de la maison particulièrement agréable, équipement complet et en bon état, décoration de très bon goût. A conseiller sans réserve! La piscine doit évidemment être un plus en été...

Quelle jolie petite rétaise très cocooning, accueillante, très propre. Nous nous sommes délecté des petits cafés pris sur la terrasse au soleil. La maison est bien équipée et la décoration très chaleureuse. Elle est conforme aux photos et nous avons beaucoup apprécié sa situation idéale en plein coeur de St Martin et très au calme. Nous reviendrons sans doute plus tard dans la saison pour pouvoir profiter de la piscine chauffée

A little tired but good location

We really enjoyed Ile de Re but were a little disappointed with the property. The photos are representative but we just felt it was a bit tired and musty, and in need of some more cleaning. There were a few cobwebs and spiders around! Some of the lights didn't work, including the outside one. We only seemed to have been given one black bin bag for rubbish which soon filled up. Some more storage space in the bedrooms would have been useful e.g. chest of drawers. We didn't realise the two bedrooms are connected which may not suit everyone - to get from the master bedroom into the living area you have to walk through the second bedroom. We hired linen and were disappointed with the quality provided. One thin pillow each would not be sufficient for some people. We appreciated having our own outdoor space and a parking space. The property is in a good location, five minutes walk into the town and two minutes from a bus stop. The two main supermarkets are just a few minutes away by car. The owners were very helpful in booking the property but the property manager was slow to respond to emails and texts.
