(514 reviews) Splendid hotel and well located in old city. The staff were exceptional. Always very friendly and helpful. The English concierge ( who spoke fluent French ) gave us some great tips on nearby restaurants and recommended a wonderful wine tour to the left and right bank which was so informative and personal. Money well spent !! (243 reviews) As a lone ,older, female traveler I must say that the staff could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and considering that I spoke very little French. They could not have been more helpful. The room was spacious, very clean , comfortable and extremely quiet. The breakfast facilities were adequate and there was plenty of variety. Again the staff were very attentive and friendly. I can recommend Hotel Vatel and would not hesitate to stay there again.
