The rooms need a clean !
The hotel was OK but do be aware the breakfast is very poor so don't expect anything tasty all they had was dried cake coffee & orange, the room had aircon but was very noisy and the room was very basic, I would expect more for the money & the rooms need a clean.

Dear Customer, Our "mediocre" breakfast consists of: viennoiserie cooked by the minute just like our bread and perennial pasta, yoghurt with nature fruit, compote, organic compote and cooked in cauldron, organic cereal, gluten free, various organic jam, orange juice, apple juice , fresh fruit, fruit salad, cottage cheese, cold meat platter, cheese, spread, sandwich bread, mini pancakes, cake ... for a price of 9.90 euros served as an all-you-can-eat buffet ... What would you like more? Wishing you good reception, cordially

We booked a disabled room for our friend who cannot walk over 6 months ago. No room available when we arrived so he could not wash or go to the toilet! Staff not interested and blamed in on Expedia who we booked with. Staff were rude and uninterested in our predicament. When we got home claimed we lost a key and not paid room tax ?? Second bad experience with Campanile and we will never use them again Bad, bad customer service!!

Dear Madam, Being in reception the morning of your departure I was more consciliant with your situation! Indeed, on expedia you have booked a room with two beds disabled malehureusement as I explained these rooms do not exist in our establishment and I apologized while this is not my responsibility. Then, and yes you are with the keys and we had to pay 250 euros locksmith but more you are held without even presenting you in receipt deposited your keys and pay your restaurant bill in the amount of 52 euros because you have consumed alcohol as well. And the same morning I still ran on the parking lot with you and all your friends for you to pay your breakfast and tourist tax otherwise you would be left without paying. But unfortunately I did not manage to call everyone because I was short of money for the catering bill. Looking forward to your call for payment! cordially

Nice For a Short stay.
Nice quiet Hotel on outskirts of town. Couple of restaurants nearby and 1 pub. Several supermarkets so good for a short stay. Hotel standard campanile, clean and tidy.

I won't return
Room was smoky, by that I mean there are houses very near and they were bbq'ing in their gardens and the smoke was blowing in to my room. 12.90Euro's for a chicken breast fillet in a bun which had curry sauce in it isn't what I waited 40 minutes for. The bun was almost inedible and the chicken was touch to bite.

The hotel was good barring the lavotory pan which wasn't at all good. Badly soiled + residue from previous guest. Bedding etc excellent comfortable and not expensive good tea and coffee facilities. A bath which isn't common in France , most welcome here.

Clean and Tidy hotel. Not much going on in St. Dizier. The hotel is on the edge of town in a retail area. Not many eating options, a Potato restaurant or the hotel itself. Ok for stop over.

Brilliant stopover value for money
It does what it says on the box. Brilliant value for money for a transit stopover. Perhaps you wouldn't want to stay here if you had a week's business in the area, but if you are just passing through, and want a great value stop, this is the place. Clean, comfortable, small room (of course), decent restaurant for dinner and breakfast, nice people. Unlikely you can find all thiselsewhere at 50 Euros.

One-night stopover
Since last using the Campanile group these hotels have had a makeover to a less fussy modern style, although the rooms are the same. I was very comfortable and everything I needed was available. As it was a Sunday in March the hotel was very quiet but the staff were pleasant and helpful. I was a little disappointed with the food but you get what you pay for I guess. It was adequate for a one-night stopover.

Good value for a stopover
Stayed there one night during a weekend visting Lac du Der. The room was basic but very clean. The only minor issue was that the walls were very thin, so ear plugs are recommended. Dinner choice was limited but the breakfast was rather nice. Can't fault the place for the price paid. Would return for a stopover.

Lovely quiet motel
Had a great couple of days here using it as a cycling base. Traffic cycle lanes were a few hundred metres away and not so far from the town centre. Handy Lidl within walking distance. Room was basic but had towels, soap, free wifi and excellent shower. Hotel staff English was rudimentary, but then so is my French so we managed. Close to main road network - ideal.

Functional motel with good food
Restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced - with a great salad and tasty desert buffet bar from which you could take as much as you liked. Rooms are nice. My only qualm is that it was a bit cold and the small electric blow heater wasn't quite enough. The duvet was rather thin as were the pillows. The bedding didn't match the snow white fat puffy duvet in the online advert.

I ordered and paid for a non smoking triple room. I received a small double room, that stank of smoking. The double bed only fitted against the wall, thus one person had to climb over the other to use the toilet. The third bed was a put up bed, the put up bed had to be wedged in between the foot of the main bed and the counter carrying the tv, if it went in any other place it was not possible to use the toilet. A lot of black mould around the bath and the hair dryer didn't work. We had a meal my wife had a cheese platter which they were not able to provide at the same time as the hot meals. I had a chicken fillet which was warm at one end and ice cold at the other, it was obviously incorrectly warmed from frozen in a microwave, I complained to the waitress as soon as I noticed but nothing happened, I then spoke to the manager who informed me that it was my fault for not eating it fast enough.

Ideal if passing through, good local amenities.
Satnav took me to the hotel, but it was down a street where the hotel had clearly blocked off its entrance to avoid becoming a rat run, but was easy enough to figure out how to get to the front from another angle. The staff were friendly, efficient and spoke excellent english. The room was one of a typical town motel. Nothing out of the ordinary, and appeared to be grubby although it was very clean and well stocked, it was just the dated feel of the room. The area was industrial, but no noise in the evening, unexpectedly this provided a good number of places to choose to eat without having to try to discover the town centre after a long drive. Supermarket within a minutes drive also, with cheap petrol station. The hotel does have a restaurant on site with a good selection of food available on the menu at avergae prices, although I did not choose to eat there, it appeared clean and pleasant. A decent place to stay, dated but ideal for one night if passing through on the way to elsewhere. I wouldnt wish to stay for more than a night.

Campanile Saint-Dizier
We found the hotel very good value. The room was very clean and the bathroom was spotless . It is in a residential area which meant it was quiet - just what we needed after a long day travelling. The restaurant served a buffet which was most varied and delicious. We would recommend a buffet and dessert meal. It is excellent value and quite innovative. We didn't stay for breakfast as we had to leave early so no comment can be offered on it.
