"We stayed here for two nights, the room and bathroom were superb, facilities were excellent and just a short drive to Cognac. Very quiet at night, we enjoyed a very good nights sleep. "This is a lovely old hotel, recently refurbished I would imagine, in the centre of Cognac. Staff were friendly with a good command of English and our room was clean and comfortable with a fantastic shower! Breakfast was very good too! Parking is available but as we visited on a weekend we were able to park on the street outside for free. The hotel is very well located for bars and restaurants as well as the major brandy houses."

"We arrived late, after driving hours through a massive storm around Poitier, only to be "greeted" by one of the most unpleasant characters I had dealt with in ages ! We may have woken him up but that is no excuse for his general behaviour and insulting comments towards my wife and I. Breakfast was basic to say the least. No plates, curdled milk, some bread, no forks not "eating" spoons for the cereals. At least the cafe machine worked."
