Here, nature whispers, the days stretch out in the intimacy of the woods and magic is woven to the rhythm of the river. An invitation to leave your routines at the entrance of the estate and to taste the harmony between the rustic and the refined, in all seasons. Nestled in the heart of the forest, Le Huard cottage is a small, quiet refuge that runs along the river. The living room and dining room open onto each other. Wooden walls, stone floors and a crackling fireplace: everything is designed to make you feel good. The kitchen, small but functional, makes it easy to prepare your meals, from morning coffee to impromptu dinners. The chalet has three bedrooms with Queen beds: one on the ground floor and two upstairs. The master bedroom, with balcony and office area, is perfect for resting, working or simply observing the forest. The floor is accessible by a spiral staircase. A full bathroom serves the floor, while a half bathroom and a washer-dryer area are located on the ground floor. Outside, the gazebo integrated into the chalet, the BBQ and the fire pit pleasantly extend meals and evenings. In summer, the river becomes an ideal place to swim or cool off. Domaine Rivière Sacacomie also offers shared spaces for young and old: a heated swimming pool open all year round, billiards and various games. Let me start by saying this park is massive and loads to explore. It has a similar feel as Algonquin Park with the exception of a language barrier. While most people in the park are bilingual, some don't speak English at all so if you plan on going I recommend you knowing at least the basics like 'There's a bear on my site and he's eating dinner' hehe JK. But seriously learning the basics will help you communicate with others in this National Park. The park features plenty of lakes to portage and trails to hike. You can expect to see the standard wildlife often found in Eastern Canada such as Bear, Moose, Wolf, Raccoons, Squirrels and so forth, but you may also find some Woodpeckers too. Some believe there are Cougars here too but seeing them is quite rare.
