"This is a BIG hotel. It’s a definite destination hotel and resort. It served lots of conventions with an amazing water park for families. An interesting combination. Nice variety of restaurants and bars. One thing I found odd was no concierge on property. Strange for a resort. I could have used one especially if you want to venture outside the resort for dinner or activities. Other than that it’s a great venue and will be back. "

"Hotel is very lovely, it’s older but so well maintained and clean that I observed workers cleaning the glass windows and patio floor outside was being mopped. The panoramic views across the water of San Diego is so beautiful. The pools are clean and warm. The hot tub was nice. But most importantly it’s been a while since I’ve had every interaction from valet, to front desk, to restaurant staff all be so customer focused. The staff is wonderful and welcoming and for this alone deserves a 5 star. The restaurant Crown landing had delicious food. Usually my teen daughter is very picky but she loved their signature steak and I loved what I ordered which was the seafood pasta dish. We enjoyed our time at this hotel and I would recommend it. The only feedback I had was that pillows were too soft but some people may like that. Rooms were very clean and smelled clean - no musty smell and rooms are not dated. It’s also nice to have a 3rd floor balcony and ours overlooked the pool area. The valet parking was $55 per day or you could opt for self park $50. Also our room was in building 3 so we had to carry our non-wheeled luggage to our rooms as there were no luggage carts that I saw available "
