"We had a pleasant stay at Salish Inn overall. The rooms were spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, and the property appears to be fairly new. Everything felt fresh and well maintained, making for a comfortable stay. One thing to keep in mind is that the hotel has fairly strict check-in times with little flexibility. This wasn't an issue for us, but it may be something to consider if you expect to arrive early. The one area that could use improvement is the complimentary breakfast. It's advertised as being available from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., but during our three-night stay, it was never actually ready at 8:00. On the first morning, we waited until around 8:30 before food was available, and the selection was fairly limited, with some items, like the bagels, seeming stale. Because of that experience, we chose to have breakfast elsewhere the remaining two mornings. Since the property appears to be new, I understand there may still be a few operational details to refine. I hope the breakfast service is one of them, because it's a nice amenity when it's available as advertised. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and with a few improvements to the breakfast experience, this would be an easy five-star property."

"We chose this hotel to celebrate my birthday and paid a premium peak-season rate because it was recently renovated, very clean, and offered the larger balcony room we wanted for our family. At check-in, we were told the hotel was fully booked and were given a smaller room without a balcony instead of the room we had reserved. Thankfully, Expedia’s customer service worked with the hotel, and we eventually received the correct room. Once the issue was resolved, our stay was wonderful. The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we had booked. My advice to future guests is to double-check your room type at check-in. Thank you to the Expedia agent for helping resolve the issue."

"We want to sincerely thank the manager for his helpfulness during our stay! Prior to our arrival, we didn't realize that the hotel's front desk closes at 10pm, so guests needed to arrive before then to check in. We arrived at 10:15pm to find the doors locked, realized our mistake, and called the phone number posted on the front door for help. The manager had already left for the night, but he turned his car around and came back to the hotel to check us in. Even though we had been an imposition, he was very friendly and understanding, which was VERY appreciated! To avoid any misunderstanding for anyone reading my post, this 10pm deadline was stated in the confirmation email I received from Hotels.com, but it was buried in a long list of legalese that I didn't read word for word. It was my fault for not reading it."
