This is not easy to find - tucked away in the hamlet above Canfin. (Drive past Candin for 1km and there’s a sign on the left).
The hotel has beautiful outdoor seating under a thatch and lovely walks around. But what makes it so special is the quality of the cooking - they do an evening meal for guests, with full use of local products, especially the chestnuts and figs. We had spiced figs in our main dish of perfectly long-cooked beef, and home-made marrons glacé on our delicious lemon pannacotta-type pudding. Thoroughly recommended.

No drinking glasses or tissues in the room, uncomfortable room temperature with no control, cheap uncomfortable mattress, had to make a long distance phone call just to get in the door to check in, unfriendly staff, front desk never staffed. “Not my problem, ..."

"A small, but very clean room. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast choices were already on the table with many choices. A hot dish can be ordered. I hope food items not selected from the platters are not disposed of, as it would be in the States. That's why food trays are not placed on US breakfast ..."
