Secure access to the house thanks to an 8-digit key box, particularly facilitating late arrivals. Laundry service in place for always impeccable bed linen. Internet fiber. Orange TV with play/pause and replay function. Brand new kitchen installed in April 2021, for better comfort and convenience. Located in the countryside in a small quiet village, just 3 minutes by car from the most beautiful Landing beaches (Arromanches, Asnelles) and less than 10 minutes from Bayeux, this very functional and cozy cottage offers you all the comfort and comfort. necessary equipment you can dream of for your vacation. The main house (70 m²) includes on the ground floor an American kitchen (fully equipped) open to a living room with a very beautiful fireplace which will delight you during your autumn or winter evenings (wood not provided, possibility to buy it on site in specialized stores located less than 10 minutes from the house). 3 large sofas (including 1 large sofa bed purchased in May 2023, offering real sleeping accommodation for 2 people with a 140\*190 mattress) will allow you to relax and share good times with your family. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms and a bathroom (with toilet). Bedroom n°1 is equipped with a 160\*200 double bed (with an umbrella bed and its mattress), bedrooms n°2 and n°3 are equipped with a 140\*190 double bed. Bedrooms 2 and 3 also have books and toys for children aged 3 to 12, as well as an office space. The outbuilding (not communicating with the main house) consists of a laundry area on the ground floor (with oil boiler, washing machine and dryer) and upstairs a closed room reserved for the owner. In summary, there are 3 double beds and 1 sofa bed in the main house (i.e. 8 beds). However, I limit the rental to 6 people maximum, for greater comfort, particularly since there is only one bathroom and one toilet for the whole family. Another important clarification: all beds are made upon arrival, and each traveler has a set of towels (1 small and 1 large). The fully enclosed grounds offer you a south-facing terrace, not overlooked, equipped with a teak table for 6 people and 6 garden chairs, a large offset parasol and a Weber charcoal barbecue (charcoal and firelighters not supplied), enough to take full advantage of the sun and the long summer days. On the lawn part, with an area of ​​approximately 95 m², children can enjoy a swing, as well as a trampoline. The house is charming and well-equipped, and was the perfect location for exploring Bayeux and the D-Day beaches and museums. The host, Alexandre, shared information about the area, left plenty of instructions for how the house/appliances work, and responded quickly to my messages. Should you have children with you (we did not), the house is well set up to entertain them (with games, a swing set, etc.). Ate our evening meals in the garden and toured Normandy by day . We used the three double rooms in the house and found them very comfortable for our needs . If you stay here you must bring your own towels with you , we had to go and buy some as we were tight for luggage space and didn't have any with us . The location of the property was as described in a very quiet village close to Arromanche and other adjacent towns. The host had left a welcome pack regarding the property however it was only presented in French, I felt this could be updated to other languages, certainly English as most tourists in the area seemed to be English or American. I had difficulty with the heating which was on a timer system but there weren't any instructions on how to adjust or turn it on. Schöner, abgeschlossener und ruhiger Garten. Komplett ausgestattete moderne Küche. Von hier aus haben wir alle interessanten Lokations rund um den D-Day sehr gut erreicht. Arromanches und Bayeux sind von hier aus auch prima mit dem Fahrrad erreichbar, hier gibt es Museen, Supermärkte und Restaurants.Unser Vermieter war nicht vor Ort, aber online sofort erreichbar und sehr bemüht.Vielen Dank, wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub und kommen bestimmt noch mal wieder. ##### Martin K. Alexandre, le propriétaire, est très attentif et souhaite que les locataires prennent bien soin de sa maison et il a grandement raison ! Cette maison est toute mignonne et a été rénovée, avec beaucoup de goût, il y a peu de temps. Communication parfaite avec Alexandre qui, même s'il est absent, s'inquiète, du début à la fin, du confort et du bien-être de "ses" vacanciers !... Merci encore pour ce très joli moment passé à Ryes. Huis van alles voorzien. Jammer dat er beneden geen toilet was. En de locatie was niet zo boeiend. Leuke eigenaar die we wel hebben getroffen in de week dat wij er waren. Vandaar uit wel alles goed en op korte afstanden te bereiken. Strand was alleen niet lopend te doen, of je moet een lange afstand wandelaar zijn.
