Best hotel in Rutland. Breakfast was good. Staff were good. Room was very good. Features like self-serve laundry and a pool are token amenities but appreciated. The hotel was recently renovated and it shows. The hotel is right next to a retail plaza with a decent restaurant and big supermarket, and is very easy to drive in and out of to access the area.

A good option for Rutland (though I’d recommend having a car and going east. Check-in was a bit rude and didn’t feel welcoming. Wasn’t told that breakfast was served in a different building which was confusing. Overall clean hotel though.

Large room, good breakfast, good value.

Great views and quiet location. Comfortable communal areas, great walks around the surrounding forests and a wonderful spot to relax next to the lake. A short drive to Killington and all its attractions. Loved the cookies.

I always thought motels were rather unpleasant and distasteful - well, I could not have been any more mistaken! My partner and I absolutely loved this motel; it was conveniently located, the surroundings were gorgeous and our room was one you would expect to find in a proper nice hotel. Great location and easy parking. Great restaurant on site and free paddleboards and kayaks

This was a wonderful one night stay as part of our leaf peeping trip to Vermont from the UK. One thing to be aware of is that GPS/satnav is really bad in this area. Make sure you take printed written instructions of how to find them. The cabin is absolutely lovely. It’s really well equipped, especially the kitchen which has good quality knives, saucepans, frying pans, etc important if you’re going to be doing your own cooking. Although a skiing village, it was a great place to stay during the summer with some fresh air and nice local restaurants.

Everything was perfect

Lovely accommodation, friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Town was walkable from accommodation and plenty trails within short driving distance

The manager of this Inn was very friendly and recommended a great bar in killington where I spent an enjoyable evening chatting to some equally pleasant people. I would have been happy to stay longer at the trailside inn.
