Set in a four-hectare estate, the property is surrounded by gardens, vineyards, and an olive and fruit orchard. It backs onto a wood of centuries-old oaks and pines. It is a very peaceful and restful place. La Grande Bastide includes 4 independent properties, including La Maison des Rosiers, which is very popular with our guests. The other 3 properties are also featured on Abritel: \- A house four 4, ref. Abritel: 1935717 \- A house for 6, ref. Abritel: 1935718 \- A house for 11 (+5 optional), ref. Abritel: 1937958 It is also possible to rent the whole property via the Abritel listing 1939197\. This is an ideal option for large groups wishing to spend holidays with family & friends or to organise events. La Maison des Rosiers is a large residence of 250m2 on two floors. It has its own terrace, lawn and courtyard of fragrant rose bushes. A large table in the shade of the vines provides a peaceful and comfortable space at any time of day. The house comprises, on the ground floor : \- A large, fully-equipped kitchen opening onto the terrace \- A spacious dining room with table and chairs for 8 people \- A sitting room with fireplace, television and sofa. \- A WC \- A storeroom for your shopping and belongings. First floor: \- A first bedroom with a double bed 160 x 200cm \- A second bedroom with a double bed 160 x 200cm \- A third bedroom with a double bed 140 x 200cm \- A fourth twin bedroom with two single beds 90 x 200cm \- A large dressing room \- One bathroom and one shower room \- a WC All the gardens, woods, the olive orchard and the swimming pool of La Grande Bastide are accessible to our guests only. Please respect the flora and fauna, as well as other potential residents. From the pool (6m x 12m, secured) you have a magnificent view of the Vaucluse Mountains, the Luberon, the valley and the vineyards. The pool lining was completely renovated in 2024\. The water is treated with magnesium salts, making it odourless and much gentler for your skin than conventional chlorine. The pool is regularly cleaned and maintained by a specialised company. Sun loungers and a shower are available by the pool. Access to the property is via an automated gate requiring a security code. The entrance road is flat and lined with trees and plants, leading directly to the private car park in front of the residence. The property is enclosed by a fence. La Grande Bastide is close to many of Provence's historic sites, including Roussillon, Gordes, Sault, Forcalquier and Manosque. You can also reach Avignon, Aix en Provence, Cavaillon and Carpentras in an hour or less. The region is very popular with walkers and cyclists. You can walk to the Colorado Provençal in less than 10 minutes and follow the many trails within it. You can also enjoy wonderful bike rides through vineyards and lavender fields (in season), and perhaps take on the legendary Tour de France routes up Mont Ventoux. Many local markets are within easy reach. The famous Apt market, dating back to the 12th century, attracts crowds every Saturday to find local products. We've just returned from a fabulous 10 days at this property. We stayed in La Maison des Rosiers, which was far more spacious than the photos led us to believe!!! The accommodation had everything we needed and was well kept and clean. The environment is beautiful and peaceful. It was just too hot for our family to go on any long walks... The swimming pool was a welcome place to cool down and spend some time. In the run-up to our stay we needed to contact the owner a number of times and it was easy to do so by e-mail, with a quick response time and reassuring answers. Set in the middle of a vineyard in a 200 year old stone farmhouse which has been completely rennovated it is gorgeous, spacious, very clean and comfortable. It is divided into multiple seperate appartments, so though we were just one couple, it would also be good for families or groups of people. It is very quiet, peaceful, and ideally located for visiting all of the great hill towns around, which each have their own market days. The saturday market at Apt is must. There is a nice pool which is refreshing after a hot hike or shopping day. The owner, Mrs Marini, speaks fluent french, english, and chinese, and is very responsive as is the caretaker Housine. The view from the pool is spectacular—in early July you overlook vineyards and lavender fields. The bastide is large and we had a bigger apartment in it, spacious living area with a kitchen, living room, dining room, storage space, and half bathroom downstairs. Upstairs there are four bedrooms, one toilet, two bathrooms with showers and sinks, and more storage space. There was no air conditioning, but the place stayed cool with the shutter closed. There is also an outdoor private courtyard with a table and a grill, and then more shared picnic tables and a ping pong table under a large plane tree. You can wander around the gardens (lavender, mulberry trees, olive trees, etc.) or relax in one of the many comfortable lounge chairs at the pool (there are sunny and shady spots at the pool). The bakery in Rustrel is wonderful, and there are larger grocery stores in Apt (and also close to the many weekly markets around the different towns). It was easy to drive to places like Gordes, Roussillon, Lacoste, etc. and a beautiful drive through the mountains to visit Lourmarin. When we return to the area I would definitely book an apartment at La Grande Bastide again. ##### Malia F. Sa situation est idéale pour découvrir la région, à seulement quelques kms d'Apt et des beaux villages du Luberon. Malheureusement l'intérieur n'est pas à la hauteur de l'extérieur : bien que les chambres soient correctes, le reste du logement mériterait un rafraichissement et le mobilier d'être remplacé (particulièrement dans le salon). Enfin un effort sur la propreté serait bienvenu. Notre séjour s'est néanmoins bien passé. ##### Charles M. La bastide est très belle extérieurement avec un parc immense magnifiquement entretenues , une très grande piscine avec une vue sublime, mais l’ensemble est à partager entre plusieurs résidents qui la louent de façon indépendante. En fait ce n’est pas très gênant car les lieux de vie extérieurs pour les repas sont sans vis à vis. L’intérieur est très vaste, les lits confortables, mais la décoration peu chaleureuse, l’ensemble est propre, les chambres immenses, les deux salles de bains correctes. Des dépendances pratiques. Comme on vit dehors ceci nous va très bien. La plancha extérieure est un plus, ainsi que le jardin privatif et la table de Ping Pong. Très beau séjour dans un lieu magnifique, avec beaucoup de place, et des hôtes à l’écoute. ##### Joëlle D. YangBin was very responsive. The Villa was just wonderful and we loved every moment. It has a fabulous pool which was exhilarating after touring and hiking. The caretakers were fabulous! They even cooked a Moroccan dinner for us one night! The house has everything we needed. Maybe a couple more Fans would have been nice, but really we had a fabulous time. Other guest we Met has been there multiple times which is indicative of deep satisfaction. We even had one night of happy hour under the trees with several of them. All in all a wonderful experience and we will definitely go back! ##### Grace D. Le gite est vaste, très atypique avec des pièces en enfilade au rez-de-chaussée et les chambres à l'étage avec de magnifiques escaliers. Bien aménagé, les pièces sont spacieuses, la cuisine bien équipée. idéalement placé pour les visites touristiques. A refaire sans hésitation. ##### philip C. C'est une grande bastide provençale divisée en plusieurs morceaux. Le décor est simple mais de bon goût et typique (ce que nous recherchions). Vous pouvez trouver tout ce dont vous avez besoin sur place. La piscine, la table de ping-pong et le barbecue ont été particulièrement appréciés. Le village de Rustrel juste à côté est charmant. Vous êtes idéalement placés également pour les champs de lavande, le Colorado provençal et la visite du moulin à huile. La procédure d'arrivée et de départ est très simple. ##### Julien M. La cheminée nous a réchauffé lors de la première soirée plutôt fraiche. Dommage, malgré la réduction de la circulation du au COVID on entend un peu la route passant à proximité.
