Just sitting at the window seat and watching the endless awesome birds in the morning was such a treat and the cows next store. It's about a 3 min drive to town. A 1.2 mile walk which I don't suggest because it's along a highway uphill, unless you take the boardwalk through the mangroves and then straight up 1.7 miles into a forest for another 1.5 miles. There is one taxi into town if you'd like. Definitely recommend Sage restaurant and Urupukapuka Island for the most incredible (although a tough uphill) hike and views.
