Hotel Drei Könige

8/10 Good

"Charming hotel tucked on quiet street with well-intentioned courteous staff. 10-minute walk from the train station. Breakfast was adequate, though certainly unremarkable.. This is Switzerland so I expected it to be expensive for what the hotel is but is it a good value? Well, you're a captive audience in a town with limited options so ......."

ABC Swiss Quality Hotel

8/10 Good

"I was trying to give them all 5 stars but for some reason, I could not reach the 5th one on my screen. ABC is an amazing hotel! Extremely clean, well finished and beautiful. We were so surprised how the free breakfast was complete! They even had mimosas. The coffee was excellent and they colour their boiled eggs in a beautiful shade which makes your plate look so appetizing. And the staff made it even more fun! Flavia at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful. The servers at breakfast were also amazing! We were all pleasantly surprised. Do not hesitate to stay there."

Hotel Lenzerhorn – Alpine Stay, Spa & Savour

10/10 Excellent

"Shout out to Alexandra who was super helpful to us as first timers in Lenzerheide (and with a language barrier to boot). She shared many details that helped us configure our short time wisely. Thank you again to all at the front desk for making our stay enjoyable - we will be back!! One caveat - the spa facility does not open until 3pm and the pools were closed one evening / hard to get to as the main entrance was closed. There were also several people in swim suits in the spa and towels left around. Better service with an attendant in this area would help to make it more user friendly."

Hotel Krone – Aktiv & Erholt

10/10 Excellent

"Really lovely hotel with a good spa and nice little bar (serves some tasty cocktails). What made it extra special was the Pradaschier Toboggan pass from the hotel for staying 2+nights. This saved us a lot of money. Down side was the restaurant is closed Mon & Tues evenings and very little choice in the villages for restaurants."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Rueun?

The best area to stay in Rueun is generally within the village centre, particularly around the main road, Via Principala.

Rueun is a compact and traditional Swiss village located in the Surselva valley. The Via Principala runs through its heart, connecting the various guesthouses, the local shop, and the church. Most accommodation options are within easy walking distance of each other and offer scenic views of the surrounding mountains and the Rhine Gorge.

Couples looking for a peaceful retreat will find the village centre ideal. It offers a chance to experience authentic village life, with opportunities for gentle walks along the river or into the nearby meadows. The guesthouses often provide traditional Swiss hospitality, making it a relaxing base for exploring the wider region.

You'll find the local cable cars and mountain railways operating frequently, offering easy access to higher elevations for stunning panoramic views.

Winter sports enthusiasts will find January to March the best time to visit. This period offers reliable snow conditions for skiing, snowboarding, and cross-country skiing in the nearby ski resorts like Flims Laax Falera, which is easily accessible from Rueun.
