It was a pleasure to return from an outdoor activity to a cozy cabin, spacious and equipped with the amenities to feel like home. The only thing we found interesting (and maybe this is a cultural difference) is that daily cleaning included making the bed and changing towels only. We are used to full cleaning. It's also very convenient to walk to other attractions in the village. The room is quite spacious, and the toilet includes a sauna, it’s really relaxing. And they were clean. But from reception to the rooms you have to walk like 200 meters, with children AND bags on icy road, with -5 degrees. So it was really uncomfortable to do it without help. But that was it. The service is not great, especially for the money paid for the cottage. More than 1300 $ per night and no cleaning at all, no body lotion, bed was made only after being called 3 times and i had to do that every day. And what to say about breakfast, the worst i have ever seen. Toaster was broken so no warm sandwiches, coffee machine was half working and scrambled eggs has weird rubbery texture. I would suggest staying in Rovaniemi city and coming to holiday village for day trips. And none of the theme parks stuff is included in the money you paid for.
