"This is the fourth time I have been to La Prairie. I come here mainly to indulge my hobby of astrophotography as the skies are dark and the weather good, but you can't guarantee clear skies at night even in the south of France! Francoise is very welcoming, helpful and never intrusive. Isis the dog is perhaps the most friendly dog you will ever meet. The view across to the hills is amazing, the gite is clean and comfortable and I am sure I will return again."

The property is big and well enclosed for the dogs, the pool is great (good size, salt water, exposed to the sun and nice and warm), sheltered terrace for al fresco dining, and the property is exactly as listed. "Had a relaxing time towards the end of a tour of Europe. Great place to kick back with a smart pool area and terrace. We stayed in the ground floor of the owners home….split up/down some years back. There another rental option closer to the pool. Our place was very nice and certainly French in style. It would benefit from some updating and a few ‘extras’ would be nice on arrival…..water in fridge, a bottle of wine, some milk etc as was the case in almost all the 8 places we stayed on the trip. "Tanneron is a hilly location, about 580m above sea level, the drive is exciting and the views are fantastic. This is probably one of the cleanest places I have been to and Mr and Mrs Michele were the perfect hosts. Their son spoke fluent English and suggested places to visit and responded to all of our queries very efficiently.
