Beautiful 250 year old Village House in centre of Roussillon with stunning views
La Maison Roussillon is a 250 year old traditional Provencal village house available for holiday rental. The house is located in the centre of the medieval hilltop village of Roussillon, one of the most picturesque villages in France. It is full of charm and situated close to the clock tower* and church and a short stroll from the many restaurants, cafes, galleries and shops.
Step through the most photographed archway in Roussillon and explore our beautiful village house which rambles over four floors:
Ground Floor: Entry hall, bedroom with a double bed (140cm x 200cm), large open fireplace and dressing area and ensuite shower room (shower, toilet and basin).
1st Floor: Fully-equipped traditional Provencal kitchen (cooktop and oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle and toaster), lounge/dining room with open fire, lounge seating for 8, dining table seating for 6, TV, DVD and CD players, separate toilet. On this floor adjacent to the living area there is also a small 'attic style' single bedroom (bed 90cm x 200cm) with low roof.
2nd Floor: Large master bedroom with a king size bed (180cm x 200cm), bathroom/laundry (large freestanding bath, shower, toilet, twin basins, washing machine and dryer).
3rd Floor: Open air roof terrace with breathtaking views.
There is also a large traditional cellar and remains of a water well below the ground floor.
Free outdoor parking is available for guests in close proximity to the property.
The scenic outdoor public pool of St Saturnin is located 10km away.
The property is equipped with high speed Wifi internet access, air-conditioning, double-glazed windows, fans and electric radiators.
La Maison Roussillon is the perfect base for exploring Provence. Situated within 30 minutes of all the Luberon's famous hilltop villages including Gordes, Bonnieux and Lacoste. Roussillon itself is a 'Plus Beau Village de France' with restaurants, cafes, galleries and shops.
The property is best enjoyed as a 2 bedroom property for 2-4 guests. However the use of the third bedroom with a single bed is also available on request for an additional fee.
*Please note the Roussillon village clock tower when operating chimes hourly 24/7, so it is not recommended you book this or other properties in the Roussillon village centre if this could be a problem for you. Most find the clock tower quaint, but some find it noisy (and in any case we supply complimentary ear plugs for guests should the noise be a problem!).

Stunning property, everything about it is authentic, traditional, comfortable and welcoming.
Situated right next to the church bel which was another highlight of the trip.
Location is jealousy inducing for all the village visitors.
This property in Roussillon is a fabulous base for exploring the area and enjoying the small village of Roussillon. The house is exactly as described - well situated, comfortable, and the roof top terrace is breathtaking. Joanna did a very thorough job of introducing us to the house and area and gave us a great lunch recommendation of Cafe Gaby in Lourmarin. We would love to go back one day - it is truly magificent.
Everything about this home is lovely. It is perfectly located in the center of town, beautifully renovated, reasonably priced, and the upstairs patio has an amazing view. The caretaker is extremely helpful and delightful. As noted in their listing, it is located on 3 floors, so lots of steps, but for us that was no problem. Also, the bell tower is right next door, which we loved, but some may not, though it does stop from 10 pm until 7 am.
Such a beautiful place. The view from the roof top terrace was gorgeous.
Joanna was so helpful an pleasant… went out of her way to accommodate all our needs!.
Just be aware that there’s a lot of up hill walk to the villa & then multiple step in the unit.We are almost 80 but we also excise a lot!
Property was better than described! We loved our stay and hated to leave. Comfortable, well-appointed and beautiful! A delight!!!
One thing to note, if your travel is delayed past 8 pm you will arrive as restaurants are closing (at least in early September) and no ability to buy groceries. So you must plan ahead.
Staying at Maison Roussillon, high on the hill in this beautiful village was a highlight of our visit to France.Once stepping through the front door we were so grateful that we had chosen this beautifully restored home to stay in. The climb to top level terrace was rewarded with incredible views and a beaut spot for two ladies travelling together to enjoy our wine and cheese. Would highly recommend but make sure you are fit and able enough to climb plenty of stairs! We had excellent communication with the property manager who made us welcome on arrival.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was beautiful, comfortable and in an absolutely incredible location. Ideal for travels around Luberon, close to very good restaurants, near a grocery, and centrally located in Roussillon. We could not have made a better decision for our stay. The views from the balcony on the top floor are unforgettable. I think reviews mentioned the bell tower, but it stops ringing from 11p.m. until 7 a.m. and never interfered with our stay in any way. It actually added to the appeal for us. We highly recommend this choice.
We could not believe our luck when we found this property online and we’re so excited to get there. When we did, it was even better than expected! The house is absolutely beautiful and the terrace….just wow! Everything was spotless, comfortable, well supplied, and it was so spacious for our family of 5. Communication was excellent throughout the process. Roussillon is a very special place and we cannot wait to return.
The property is spacious, fun and quirky. Loved the rooftop terrace and the great position. We enjoyed every moment running up and down the stairs in the house and in the town. Only complaint is book in is late when the explanation of the property can take an hour. Makes it very late to buy food or settle in before dinner.
An incredible location, lovely space, and gracious property manager and host. Joanna was fabulous in making sure we were oriented to the bells and whistles of the property and cultural experiences in and around Roussillon. Our stay was magical starting with morning visits to the boulangerie and petit breakfast on our private terrace overlooking the village and surrounding hills (complete with hot air balloons). Day trips to surrounding hilltop towns, daily farmers markets everywhere, blooming lavender fields aplenty, and living the provincial life filled our hearts with the very best memories that will last a lifetime. Highly recommend you grab this property so you can enjoy a bit of paradise. Merci beaucoup!
We absolutely loved our stay in Roussillon. It was a quaint little village like you find in the Disney movie Beauty and the Beast. The property was wonderful. It was very unique. We really enjoyed the terrace and all the space. It was great to have a washer and dryer in the middle of our trip to wash all of your clothes.
Check in process was fantastic. The host explained everything to us. Please be prepared, there are lots of steps in the house and getting to the house.
The village is very quaint. When we arrived on a Thursday night, nothing was open for dinner and we had to drive about 20 minutes to find something. I would recommend coming with some food and then going to a local market the next day to pick up some fresh food. The markets are wonderful.
My wife and I have been traveling all over Provence during a two-month adventure. We have stayed at many remarkable places, but none better than this one. It was by far our favorite.
The owners, the Casey's and manager Joanna could not have been nicer and more accommodating (special thanks to Joanna for receiving us with our late arrival). They ensured that we had everything we needed for a memorable visit to Roussillon. We cannot thank them enough.
Now the place itself . . . simply amazing! Counting the wine cellar and rooftop balcony, five floors in all. Room to roam and every level cleverly appointed. Take special note that the view from the rooftop patio is beyond words. Linger there in the morning for coffee and in the evening with a glass of wine. There is simply no better view in the town. Period.
We are limited to five stars in our review, but would have rated our stay higher if it was possible. Thank you once again for one of most memorable stays anywhere we have traveled!

This was our second visit to this location. We were just as thrilled to be there as we were the first time. It's the perfect location both for it's convenience and it's aesthetics. We love the town, the ochre hills, the shops and it's proximity to many other beautiful sites. The property Manager, Joanna did a wonderful job of showing us amenities and then telling us about local attractions. It was great to see her again. Thanks Joanna.
The rooftop deck was a dream for a morning coffee or a glass of wine at happy hour! Suburb view! Pack light; it is a bit of a walk from parking. Joanna the manager is a gem!
Loved our stay in heart of Roussillon right by the Bell Tower! Old World charm in the heart of the Luberon area! Highly recommend!

Terrific property in beautiful location. Roussillon is very convenient to explore local area, Gordes, Bonnieux, Lacoste, Ménerbes and further afield such as Arles, Aix-en-P and Avignon. At the end of each day we enjoyed the stunning evening 'magic hour' on the rooftop, sipping local wines.
The property manager was very helpful and friendly.
Highly recommended.

Lovely structure in great location. The excessive amount of stairs should have been highlighted and was not clear to us prior to arrival. Two people in our party use assistance to walk and the stairs were very difficult. Check in too late.travel from US to village 17 hours then a 7 hour wait to access the house
We were extremely impressed with the property manager who led us through the property orientation. She was very welcoming and made every effort to make our stay comfortable. Both the "house on the hill" and Roussillon are unique and beautiful. We will definitely return to this piece of heaven.
We absolutely loved our stay at Maison Rousillon. The home itself was incredibly comfortable – comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen, modern bathrooms. We were very thankful for the crib, high chair, and children's toys that were provided or our baby daughter. The home was very well located in Rousillon, within walking distance to the restaurants and shops in the town, and a short drive from neighboring villages. We can't wait to come back!
