I would return here anytime! It was like being welcome guests at their home. These owners couldnt be nicer. I had phone issues and couldnt get or send messages to the owners. They had sent me instructions but I never got them. I paniced when noone answered. .But the man from the restaurant next door called him and he came right over. The place was nice, very comfotablr and they give you little snacks and extras, he even careied my heavy bag in for me. and they let me leave it there securely while I went out the next day. I cant sat enough good things about them or this stay. it was my first time at a non hotel experience and they made it wonderful! I highly Recommend.

Residenza Roma Imperiale was a fantastic "hotel". Our flight got moved and we needed to stay an extra night and our host was very accommodating. The location was surrounded by a ton of restaurants to choose from and a 5 min walk from the Colosseum. I would definitely stay here again!

Great little hotel
Very comfortable room with nice amenities. Also located in a great location around the corner from the Colosseum. I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again.

Owners Alessandro and Patrizia make you feel like you are family. They are excellent hosts for this four room residential hotel. It has an available kitchen and the rooms are well equipped and extremely comfortable. We will stay here again (have stayed there twuce). Only a 5 minute walk from the Colosseum and the Forum plus local eateries and markets. 5 stars all around!

While the staff is very sweet it's important to note this is an air bnb type place not a hotel. It's more like one huge apt wit 4-5 rooms rented. House keeping comes in very early. It's almost like having your mom bang around pots in the kitchen when you're trying to sleep in at 7:30am. It's also on a busy street so it's very noisy till late. The bed was hard and the pull out sofa was painful. The shower is so small. It's impossible to shower and not get your hair wet. The staff was hospitable and the place is clean.

Location of property was perfect. Colloseum, Roman forum and Palpatine hill were 1 block away. Trevi fountain and spanish steps were a 15 minute walk. Plenty of dining options just outside the front door. Room was clean and spacious. The owner Alessandro was very hospitable and helpful.

Lovely place but disagreement at check out
The hotel was great but not what you generally think of as a hotel. We were in one bedroom with a bath of what appeared to be a renovated apartment, one of four such rooms. It was very clean and comfortable in a nice area of town with lots of reasonably priced restaurants right outside our door. Getting into the “hotel” was a little challenging at first but, once in, all was fine. Alessandro was welcoming and very friendly. Only hiccup came at the end of our stay when his wife phoned, demanding that we vacate at 10:00am because they had new guests who had arrived. Note that check-in was 2pm and checkout 11am as clearly stated on our agreement. I explained that we planned to leave by 11am but she was adamant we leave earlier. We stayed until 10:50am as we weren’t prepared to leave earlier. It was a lovely place but the wife’s attitude did not set well with us.

We had the best stay at this hotel. It's beautifully decorated. Has all the amenities that you could want. They provided snacks and water in the room, which was great after traveling for hours with a toddler. The staff was incredibly accomodating and friendly. The room was immaculately clean. The bed was very comfortable, the pillows were comfortable and they provided extra blankets in the room. We really couldnt have asked for a better stay and this will be the only hotel that we use whenever we are in Rome from now on!

Overall we were very pleased with our whole experience at the Residenza Imperial Roma. The owners were very helpful and informative. Our room(Adriana) was roomy and clean. The hotel is in a great location and very walkable to many of Romes beautiful ancient ruins and attractions. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome!

Our experience was generally great. The small hotel is of lovely quality and the staff were very nice. The room was great, though it does get a lot of street noise (expected) and you can hear noise from other apartment especially through bathroom. No biggie. Worth it for the short walk to the Colosseum. What was disappointing was being charged €20 for a “late checkin” fee. We were in communication with the host for hours prior and this charge was never mentioned. We were late by 26 minutes…this was also never mentioned in the small print of the hotel’s profile. We arrived at 20:26, so by no way very late…We found the charge unreasonable and was the only sour part of our stay.

Non dovevamo avvertirvi che in caso di check in oltre le ore 8.00 p.m. vi sarebbe stato un extra costo, perchè è già scritto nelle politiche della casa al momento della prenotazione. "Dopo le ore 20,00 sarà applicato un extra cost di € 35,00". Ci sembrava che avendo richiesto solamente € 20,00 invece di € 35,00 potesse essere considerato da parte vostra un gesto gentile. Grazie ancora.

Residenza Roma Imperiale is in fantastic location. It is extremely central to most things in Rome. Being only a few minutes walk to the Coliseum meant we could go there multiple times at various times for sunrise, sunset, night lights to get lots of great photos. It is in a very safe location so no problems walking in that area at any time. Our host Alessandro was excellent with accommodating our arrival times, giving us heaps of information and just being so friendly. The room and ammenities were excellent. There was nothing that we did not like about it.

This place is fabulous... If I could give it an 11 out of 5 I would. Location is perfect. A short walk to subway, Colosseum and many of places. The trip was perfect... Just too short! The next time in Rome, we're definitely staying here! Even if we need to change our plans to fit availability. Alessandro made us feel like we were home. Really NOTHING bad...

The location was fantastic, so close to the colosseum, forum etc. The check out allowed us to leave bags and collect at our leisure, the only negative was that the bed was very hard. I would definitely recommend.

Everything was perfect! Excellent location right near coliseum and forum. We could walk to anything and could take the metro from right next door when we were tired. Bedroom and bathroom were very clean. Bed was comfortable. Complimentary snacks and drinks provided each morning. Check in was smooth. Wouldn’t change a thing!

I loved the location of this property; just minutes from the fora and Colosseum. A small apartment style hotel, with a great little kitchen for if we needed it. Patrizia gave us a lot of information to get our holiday off to a great start. It's near two subway stations but you can walk anywhere from it, if you love!

Great location, excellent host
Alessandro went out of his way to make our stay easy and enjoyable. We arrived before regular check-in but he quickly met us after we called and checked us in early before the room was ready allowing us to store our bags; he even helped getting them up to the 1st floor. He placed our bags in the room as soon as it was ready; a nice touch. While we only stayed one night, we were also able to store our bags after checkout; a great convenience. The hotel is less than 10 minutes walk from the Colesseum, the Roman Forum and even the Pantheon. Bed was comfortable (the foam mattress was a little stiff, but slept fine). Nice to have packages breakfast pastries and coffee in the room for next morning. And by the way, the restaurant down stairs is pretty good and the maitre d’ is a hilarious.

This place is the heart of Rome. Claudia was exceptionally nice and hospitable. She made sure we knew where thing were to include where to walk to and eat. It was like family allowing us to stay with them. The view was amazing. The place was clean, cute and maintained. Thank you for the experience! We will be back.

Greeted as soon as we arrived by the lovely Alessandro, who showed us to our room and gave a tour Perfect location, city centre with colosseum around the corner Amazing room, clean & tidy and beautifully decorated with all the amenities we could need. The Netflix and YouTube were an added bonus Staying at the Roma Imperiale made our trip to Rome extra special
