We had a lovely stay. The place is centrally located. Everything was clean and we felt very safe. Our only complaint was our room was above a busy street and it is fairly loud until 12:00-12.30am.

Overall stay was good but the handle to our room broke so we basically got locked out of our room. There’s no staff on site past 8pm and that can create a real issue when something like this happens

Clean and spacious
We arrived before check in. They gladly held our luggage so we could get to exploring. It’s not put in a closet or anything. When we came back, they had placed our bags in our room. Very grateful. In Europe standards, the room was quite spacious. This hotel is in a building with other hotels. Had to take very small elevator up to check in. The only improvement I’d recommend is the shower had lots of mold. Beautiful bathroom, with a window that opens, which is great. But the grout was black in many places. The location is not near a train station it’s about a 15-20 minute walk to Colosseum. There is a wonderful cafe around the corner to the left that serves great coffees, pastries, and breakfast. Lots to see in Rome, not sure what the best area is to stay in. We chose this hotel because we are a family of three and needed the space.

I’ll be back.
We enjoyed our stay immensely. Our rooms were clean, updated and with all the modern amenities, while maintaining the atmosphere of old Rome. Location was convenient (which is why we chose Nazional 51). What we liked most about our stay was how friendly and knowledgeable the guys were at the front desk. They went over and above expectations to make is feel welcomed, days before we arrived and as we departed. Two thumbs up or 10 put of 10. Reasonably priced to.

Great place to stay for walking to all the sites. Clean and staff very nice. We had the top floor rooms that each had a balcony, great views of the city. A lot of stairs but there is a lift.

Overall this was a fine place to stay. However, we didn't have hot water. We took freezing cold showers every morning, and our neighbors who we met also said they had the same issue. The rooms are tiny.

Spent three nights in a room with a terrace. The room was pretty large, clean and had a large and comfortable bed. The terrace was really nice to have as it gave us a place outside to wind-down after a long day of walking the city. The hotel is located within an easy walk of the Trevi fountain, coliseum and Spanish steps. As well as other popular tourist attractions. The metro to Vatican City is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and the main train station “Roma Termini” is about a 15 minute walk. Our room was on the top floor, so the lift was good to have. Some guests forgot to close the inner doors when they exited the lift which basically freezes it on the floor they exited on. That was an occasional frustration, but otherwise the stay was great. Lots of places to eat nearby!

Superb stay, highly recommend!
This has been one of the most comfortable stays I’ve had in Italy. Natzionale 51 is like a guess house more than a hotel. There’s no grand entrance like a typical hotel and you enter a low key main door like a local. You enter a Victorian era elevator to check in on the third floor. The receptionists were super friendly and welcoming. Our room was very large and quiet. Hotel internet was fast and consistent throughout our stay. The toilet was in a separate room from the shower, which was amazing, and the shower water pressure was strong and hot. The beds were very comfortable and our rooms were made every day. The location of the hotel was fantastic as well, right in front of some major bus stations for you to take to the main attractions, plenty of shops and restaurants near by, and within walking distance from the Rome train terminal, Trevor fountain, and the colosseum. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back here any time! The only slight issue was the elevator (which the receptionist said will be changed soon), it is a very antiquated elevator where the doors must be properly shut or else it won’t go up or down. It is also a bit small so only 2 persons max can go in at once. It can be a bit stressful during checkin/check out if you are in a big crowd or in a rush. But other than that, hands down, best stay in Rome!

Nazionale 51 is very nice! We highly recommend it, there are shops around the hotel and on top of that you can walk to the colosseum and the fountain. Also walkable from Roma Termini. Also the rooms are very spacious.

Clean and comfortable. Close to everything. Staff was great. Breakfast was good. Right on a Main Street but with the window closed it was very quiet. Loved the view from our little balcony. It’s on the 4th floor and we walked up but there’s an elevator also.

Very nice, 4-star accommodations
Very nice accommodations which I would consider 4-star. Very clean and comfortable rooms, and they have a lift so you don't have to drag your luggage upstairs. The service was great, and they have a nice breakfast buffet and a decent price.

We really enjoyed living in this guest house. We had a bedroom, a living room and a balcony with an amazing view of Rome. The location is great. The only thing you need to notify is what time you arrive, as there is no 24-hour reception The room had everything you need, as well as different water, sweets, coffee, tea for free.

Location on Nazionale is good. The room was small, but nice as was the bathroom. The breakfast service was good. The hotel starts on the 4th floor above ground and our room was on the 5th. The very small elevator made this somewhat of a hassle; however, it was usually available and we could squeeze in with our luggage.
