From the inner courtyard, where it is still possible to see the ancient wash tubs, a staircase leads to the apartment door. The apartment is bright and has been completely renovated, still showing the beautiful wood beamed ceiling. It consists of a double bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen - with, among the rest, an induction cooktop and a dining table for four -, a living room with a comfortable sofa-bed - that can be converted in a double bed, if needed -, a bathroom with shower - whose modern wall-hung toilet can't afford an over 115 kilos/253 pounds weight. Dishwasher, washing machine, air conditioning and free internet wi-fi are available for guests. This is a perfect deal for those who want to enjoy the heart of Rome, still having an island of peace to take refuge in! We especially enjoyed Piazza Coppelle, which is right outside the front door. It’s a farmers market in the morning, a great lunch destination by day, and great for dinner at night with the outside tables and happy buzz of conversation. The stairs to the apartment are two flights: the first is a typical staircase and the second is very steep, so pack light. Old building (normal) but totally new inside, lots of light, air conditioner works great, no view to the street BUT it’s a blessing because at night you are so tired that you will appreciate the “silent” / no-street noise to have a good sleep.
