The master bedroom and bath combo, has it's own 12 x24 balcony, overlooking the ocean. The kitchen is well stocked and has room for more than one cook. The house has 47 windows providing a view anywhere you look. There is a large deck extending from the front door to the back. It provides plenty of room for your whole family. You can sit in the large living room and watch tv or go to the den and enjoy quiet reading time. The Castle has a large yard, sits in a quiet neighborhood and offers lots of privacy. This location makes for a great getaway at the Outerbanks to spend an entire day (and night). The location is popular for fishing and is ideal for landscape and astro photography. You can have lots of fun on some of the dunes, although getting the sand out afterwards is a big hassle. This is one of my favorite images from this location. I love the warm light tones and the shadows that create a contrast in the foreground sand. It is created from a single exposure with only minor modifications made to adjust overall contrast and brightness. If you are interested in wildlife, the Pea Island Wildlife Refuge is nearby and is a very popular location. It is a beautiful home and welcomes visitors like it's their own. Our only wish was for a walkway over the dunes to the beach, but that has nothing to do with this winderful property. This was by far the best vacation we have had in a long time, typically go to the gulf but decided to change it up. The house was awesome, there was a hot tub was not expecting, short walk to the beach and pier. Fred (owner) was mowing grass made sure to let us know if we needed anything to let him know. The house was clean and lacked nothing. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. We were a party of 9 and we had room for anything anyone wanted to do. The hot tub and pool were an extra added bonus. Loved sitting on the deck and looking at the ocean as the sun came up. Only a short walk to the beach, which we had to ourselves. If we needed anything we would call Fred would respond immediately. (Like when we locked ourselves out of the house🤣) Would definitely book this property again. First time vacationing in Outer Banks. Fred and Sharon have a beautiful house with numerous nooks in which one can choose to relax. They have stocked the house with almost everything that one could possibly need. Views are excellent and the beach is just a short walk away. Hope to return again! ##### Dale S.
