This is the 4th time I stay here and I really love the hotel. The staff the manager was so helpful. I didn’t know about a deposit and the manager help me thru the check in process. I will definitely choose this hotel every time I come to Dekalb.

I didn’t stay overnight. I left at 11 pm. I found a bed bug in the bed. The staff didn’t believe it was a bed bug but it definitely was one.

Third time and as always excellent service. The room always ready always clean. The check in quickly, check out as well. The staff is so helpful and kind. I never reserve any other hotel when I come to DeKalb from Puerto Rico.

They gave me a key to a room that was not made up yet. However, the staff quickly remedied that and moved me to a suite. While not luxurious, it was clean, quiet, with good heat control, comfortable shower, etc.

The property is old and worn looking, but the room was clean and comfortable. The outside entry for each room felt a little unsafe as there were several people loitering around on the second floor. There are train tracks right behind the property and the trains run frequently, so it’s noisy.

The gentleman on the second floor that were on the balcony have been staying with us for several months working on a project at one of our local factories. They are very nice and polite. Just looking for a place close to stadium to sleep and was surprised at how nice this was. Room was very clean and bigger than I expected. Beds were comfy. Nice linens.
Grounds are well kept with pretty entrance to lobby. Some maintenance in progress was well marked with cones.
There just aren't enough stars for the friendly staff. Very helpful! Check in and out were a breeze.

Ok place to stay in the heart of NIU territory
The hotel was an ok place to stay at. It looked as though the 2nd floor walkways were all being supported with a very large amount of metal bars that ran from the underside of the 2nd floor walkway corridor to the cement sidewalk ground below.

Worst thing was the trains going by through the night, although you do get used to it. Staff was very helpful and accommodated our request to come in a day early.

I was given room 242.
No heat in it and phone didnt work to call front desk to make staff aware. Went down to office. Told the staff at front desk. She asked " so what do you wanna do about it?) This may not be the exact woman, that worked on my paper work, upon checking in. 2 ladies , had to work together. This rude lady, was dark. I was here in Illinois... BECAUSE OF DEATH OF A FAMILY MEMBER!!!!

Staff were friendly and professional, but the room was in need of a remodel. Carpet was grungy and stained. Shower had mold on the grout. Tub had hairs in it. When I opened the shower curtain, an obviously used wash cloth fell off of the shower rod where it appears to have been placed and not removed.
