Was very impressed, room was very clean, and generally facilities were very good value for money. Pleasant, friendly staff, would definetely recommend!
We had a lovely stay at The Cherry Tree. The room was spacious & comfy, great for us and our 3-year-old. Excellent breakfast and very friendly. Would definitely recommend!
We needed a comfortable place to stay to visit family that have moved to the area, after a 4.5 hour drive the place was very good. One little quibble the shower could do with a really good clean. But thank you for a comfortable stay.
Large room, plenty cupboard space, dissapointed with shower, but overall very comfy.
We had dinner and would give that 11 out of 10, my husband had poached Haddock on a bed of kedgeree which he said was lovely and I has sausage, mash veg in a red onion gravy, yummy!!!
For breakfast it was a continental breakfast which was a bit dissapointing as there was cereal toast and o.j.. my husband decided on a cooked breakfast and was very pleased he did so as we went out and the food wasn't plentiful.

Nice Place but a spider was in my bed?
Maybe because I went September when its warm - insects all over the room.
Found a spider in my bed and there cooked breakfast facility only caters to pork eaters , they have no substitute which is no good for me who is vegeterian

The cherry tree
I do not consider glass of orange juice cereals and 2 slices of cold toast a continental breakfast.
The cooked one was fine as was coffee.
The staff were friendly and helpful and room comfortable but outside doors could do with a paint to make it look appealing
The majority of the staff were absolutely fantastic and very welcoming, however the lady who welcomed us to the room was quite abrupt and abrasive. The room itself was great, clean (apart from some spider webs in the wardrobe), and had it's own separate entrance so getting back late from a wedding was not an issue. The breakfast was simple, but nicely presented, and the gentleman who organised it was very welcoming and friendly. Overall it was fantastic value for money, and the staff were very flexible about check in and check out times, which made our lives a lot easier.
Most disappointed the wifi was not working, the TVs kept losing the signal so the picture was patchy.the carpet could do with a good clean. The continental breakfast was very basic.

Convenient B&B fir family wedding
Room was excellent, clean and comfortable. Breakfast not so good possibly cooked earlier on and kept warm. Toast was awful, very hard due to being keep warm probably.
Shabby and run down. The bed was clean and comfortable. The silicone around the shower was black and needed cleaning or replacing. Personally I do not think a slice of toast and a CUP of tea constitutes a continental breakfas even when advertised as free. I always thought B and B was an inclusive deal anyway just by the nature of the statement. Would not recomend
Comfortable stay, food was good and room was clean. Dodgy wifi in the rooms that the owner was going to get fixed, so if you're on business make sure it's up and running. Would stay again.
Great place....friendly family run hotel, restaurant and bar with a personal touch. Great welcome, spotless and comfy room.....just great all round gem of a place.
The hotel offered excellent facilities close to the first stop on our road trip. Dinner and breakfast were excellent, the only downside which could have made it a 4/5 room was the bed needs a new mattress. Extremely uncomfortable.
Very clean and comfy - delightful hosts - close to airport and shops - Southend high street not to far - continental breakfast included in price - cooked breakfast is extra - would defiantly stay again
The hotel is off the beaten track but within easy access of Rochford; there is plenty of car park space. A full English breakfast was supplied but the coffee cups could have been bigger and marmalade would have been more suitable than three flavours of jam.
