Staff was helpful and restaurant on site was very accommodating. However, our experience was a bit noisy since our room was located next to the storage room where housekeeping staff moved around a lot. The AC and fridge were also pretty noisy.

The room and the property were very good. The Astor restaurant was terrible. Saturday morning we were advised we could only use the breakfast buffet. We couldn't order off a menu. All of the food looked very good unfortunately everything eggs, coffee, sausage etc on the buffet was completely COLD. When I complained the server did request fresh eggs and coffee from the kitchen. They only deducted 20 per cent from the check. In restrospect I wish I had said I wasn't eating or paying and left to go elsewhere.

Good location. Parking seems to be under construction. Helpful check in. Nice sized room. Room just needed a really good deep clean - corners seem to be neglected with dust bunnies and whatever else but overall a good experience.

I liked the sleek and fashionable look of the lobby. There were numerous sofas and seating areas and an attractive bar too (where we had delicious soups). The exercise room and pool were very nice and wish we'd had time to use them. The downstairs restaurant was nice for breakfast. Plenty of charging stations for our phones. My only criticisms - there was very inadequate lighting in our room! There was a lamp next to each bed and a pole lamp in the corner. There was no overhead light. I looked all over, thinking I was not locating the switch. A glance at the ceiling confirmed that there were no lighting fixtures up there. Hard to check out your outfit in the very nice mirror with only the shadowy light from those three wimpy lamps. Also there was no ventilation in the bathroom, resulting in a very steamy situation in there after a shower. At first I thought there were no drinking cups but I later found them next to the water bottles sitting on the chest. Small niceties like a pad of paper and a pen would have been useful.

The front desk staff was wonderful. They made the check-in process very easy. The room was nice but the road noise was noticeable at night. We stayed here because it was close to the Blue Cross arena where we were attending an event.

Positives: Nice staff. All the food I had there was delicious. Not-so-positives: Snack machines did not work for the 2 days I was there. The building is obviously old. The rooms have those dingy corners that need cleaning. The bathroom doors needed to be wiped down. Unusual brownish-red streaks on the white doors were obvious. A simple wipe over may have helped. The rooms had great air conditioning, but the commom areas and the gym were ridiculously hot. It's as if they shut off the AC to save money. The bartender blamed the heat on the big windows. She was trying to be positive. The logic didn't fly with me though. I've been in beautiful hotels in warm locations and their AC worked despite the windows. Overall, the place was ok. It served its purpose (a wedding), but I wouldn't give it more than 3 stars.

The staff were incredibly helpful! They were friendly, helpful, and welcoming, loved it! The room was clean but poorly lit. All of the lamps had to be on & the drapes open to be able to see well. The carpet had been replaced with wood laminate which I preferred. However, it left a gap between the connecting doors so I could hear the conversation (fighting) of the occupants next door. The noise was so clear I could hear their drapes being opened & the zipper of their luggage being used. The good news is the staff provided beach towels I could put up against the door. I didn’t ask for another room as the towels worked. The hotel location was great for wandering around downtown. The area felt very safe. Overall I enjoyed the stay & would probably stay again.
