Bedroom was clean and spacious however the 'sofa' was badly stained. The bathroom was old and tired. Good hot water pressure thought. Housekeeping staff were extremely helpful and efficient Meals were excellent. ALL restaurant staff iexcellent. Unfortunately the spa & hair salon were only open to men which was a major disappointment. Women have not been considered in this area which is a missed opportunity! Instead women have a 'gym' (hardly) on the first floor, with just a few treadmills, a couple of yoga mats and random weights. In addition the provision of just 1 toilet and handwashing facilities means having to queue. Given that there are many women staying at the hotel surely better facilities for women should be provided! The AC in the room was not working and the controls were broken. Whilst I use my mobile for calls the in-room did not work and despite someone coming to fix it they just left the job half-done. The room carpet was stained and old. Every corner expecially in the bathroom had ingrained dirt. I did not request a smoking room but it was the only one they had. I was staying for an extended trip (15 nights). The property overall needs an update.
