Rivers of Steel National Heritage Area Museum

We spent 7 nights here in August and had a very comfortable stay. The hotel looks modern and clean and the front desk staff were all really friendly and helpful. The room and beds were also comfortable although it did look like it was due a deep clean (you can see the dust gathering around the edges of the carpet and under tables etc). The bathroom, especially tiles, also looked tired and due renovation. Out of our 7 nights, the cleaners only came once. Admittedly one time was due to us accidentally leaving the do not disturb sign on! Even though we were out a lot every day, they never appeared. We had to ask for clean towels a couple of times. The gym was fantastic. One of the best I’ve seen in a hotel. And Starbucks in the lobby was excellent and very convenient. We felt that the price we paid was good value compared to other 5 stars in the area and would stay again despite the room issues.

My continued choice to return to the property is largely due to their excellent availability and outstanding management practices. My room was very clean with a beautiful city view. The space is well thought out and very comfortable. There are also a lot of walkable shops and restaurants. Check-in was a little awkward as there was an event in front of the main entrance that I had to walk through with my luggage and speak very loudly over while checking in. Overall it was a nice getaway experience.
