River Windrush

We arrived early hoping to store our luggage. To our surprise, the room was ready! It was spacious and updated. The ac in the lower half was icy cold. The pull out area was warmer, but the perfect temp at night with the window open during the heatwave. Mini fridge had plenty of complementary beverages. Coffee and snacks were appreciated. The patio area was lovely to unwind after a long day. Staff were kind and helpful. Lobby was also a lovely place to wait. Thank you for 3 nights of our girls trip!

The room was extremely small even though it was a corner room. The breakfast we paid for was nice and convenient I would recommend it. The evening Starbucks team was great, very friendly and accommodating.

The positive is that the room was nice. Clean, decently-appointed, what I would expect for the price. The negative is almost everything else. The place was clearly more concerned with their World Cup party in the pub, which doubled as their lobby, than ensuring guests had a nice experience during their stay. Later in the night I had to muscle my way through the pub just to get to the elevator to my room. They had an alternate entrance with a code lock…but I couldn’t get it to work and no one was available to help. Certainly not the rude bouncer who clearly didn’t remember that there were guests staying in the “hotel”. When I left in the morning, there was no one in sight and the door I came in through was bolted shut. I had to go back upstairs and find an alternate exit. No one had told me about locking the bottom floor so no one could exit. All in all I felt like it was extremely over-priced.
