It's a getaway of rustic charm and contemporary comforts! Cabin #3 - Blackberry Bend provides a lovely mountain view from it's back deck and is located just steps from our Trillium Trail - a meandering path through the forest. In the summer, plentiful wild blackberries grow amidst the old stone walls. In our common area, a.k.a. The Loft, you'll have access to DVD's, books, games, TV, exercise equipment, trail maps/guides and area information. We also invite you to explore and enjoy our trails, campfire pit, berry bushes, raised strawberry beds, frog pond and sledding hill. After a day of exploring, our outdoor hot tub overlooking the Green Mountains soothes your tired muscles and is open 24x7. Complimentary laundry facilities, just a short walk from your cabin, are always accessible. In addition: \- Free wi-fi is available in your cabin and common areas. \- Firewood is complimentary and plentiful. \- Charcoal grills are located at each cabin \- Complimentary snowshoes and sleds are available in a variety of sizes and styles. Nestled on 112 acres in the Green Mountain National Forest, Robert Frost Mountain Cabins are located "off the beaten path" on a well maintained gravel road in quaint Ripton, VT - summer home of renowned poet, Robert Frost. Our half mile long driveway is just long enough to leave your cares behind. The cabins are also just a short drive from the beautiful village of Middlebury (listed on the National Register of Historic Places) - home to Middlebury College. The college's downtown and Bread Loaf campuses are both less than 10 miles away. And the town has something for everybody - museums, historic sites, restaurants, music, art, shopping, Tasting Trail, hiking trails and more. For outdoor enthusiasts, nearby trails, ski centers, rivers and lakes offer an abundance of fun recreational opportunities throughout the year. Warm cinnamon twists delivered on the first morning of your stay are an awesome touch. Due to our April stay, we experienced both spring and winter weather during the 3 days.. but found plenty to do in the surrounding area to accomodate both 60 degree weather and heavy snow!
