We had a pleasant 4-day family vacation. The staff at reception, housekeeping, and restaurants were very kind and welcoming.
The evening shows, nightclub, and adults-only pool could offer more entertainment and activities. We also couldn’t reach the events coordinator before or during our stay, as she was only available by appointment and seemed unavailable. Another downside is that the hotel doesn’t offer its own transportation; it must be arranged well in advance through a third-party provider.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the staff’s hospitality.
Resort was great. The food was wonderful. We were there in the slow season so not much to do outside of the resort during this time but that’s not the resorts fault. This was my third different Riu and all have been great.
Excellent stay for a family and adults. The resort is 71 miles from Panama City but it takes 2 hrs on a highway that I recommend you don't Drive if you dont have to
especially at night I say this to say there is nothing at all to do outside of the resort so feel prepared to be at the resort
Great service, food, drinks and entertainment. Staff was friendly and attentive to requests. Had several nice and unexpected gestures making our stay very enjoyable.
Excellent place and Excellent staff

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
Disliked: Cleanliness
Old property, bedbugs.
Hotel was ok with a very nice location to have a getaway, bathrooms with mold on showers and we found a bedbugs last day of our stay we noticed because all the bites that we had. In comparison with another’s Riu, this one had a good price but is not too good as we used to. Friendly staff
Everything is good, very clean. The only negative part is the Discotheque region; as far as, the interior layout. It feels awkward looking at everyone in front, feels like the setup of a rooster fight. But on average, it was nice. Do more of the outside beach concert. Thanks.
I loved the different restaurants, the accessibility to food, and the employees and staff positive aptitude.
the only thing they don't offer from the resort is transportation if you signed up with Expedia. The shows at night were very nice and they included programs for children as well.
Overall the stay was fine. Rooms are great. Facilities and offerings could be improved- there’s no snack or food counter by the pool - usually pretty standard in all inclusive hotels. Also restaurant reservation system leads to long lines. Something to consider.
The hotel was comfortable for the most part. Food was abundant, and the flavor was pretty good. However, alot of construction and maintenance works were taking place during our stay, which made the place feel dirty and unappealing. We arrived early at the resort and were allowed to partake in the facilities and amenities, however when time came to get our room at 3pm, we were told that it was not ready and we will have to wait. This was upsetting as other people who came after us got room access while we waited. Overall, the experience was sub par for what I know RIU hotels provide. The beach is very calm, but the water seems dirty. There are also vendors who offer horse rides at a cost, but these persons haggle you to get drinks for them at the resort. The location is about 3 hours from Panama city or the canal, which makes it a bit inconvenient if you are coming from Tocumen airport. The workers are very friendly, and the food was the best part of this stay. There was nightly entertainment, however if you speak no Spanish, it makes it challenging to fully enjoy and immerse the experience. Overall, I gave this a 5/10.
Although hotel staff did not speak English, they were very nice and tried their best to help. Great place for family and children. Main dining room food was not so great. The resort is approximately 2 hours from airport and 2 hours away from major events. Transportation to major attractions is very costly, approximately $125 per person.
Overall experience was nice but their term of “international night” for dinner wasn’t a wide variety of international food(could be better) but room was really nice with a great view(soundproof rooms so you don’t get disturbed by outside noise), pools were nice and staff was really friendly.
Good service, good food, nice rooms. The only bad experience was with the snacks in the afternoon. The Chiriquí restaurant was always full of birds, they were in a lot of tables, very unsanitary.
