The property itself is stunning. The architecture blends beautifully into the surrounding jungle, and the individual rooms tucked into the forest make the whole experience feel private, peaceful, and immersive in nature. The thermal river and hot springs were incredible. Having three different pools at varying temperatures was perfect—you could move between them depending on how hot you wanted the soak. Sitting in those pools surrounded by the canyon and forest was one of the most relaxing experiences of our trip. The spa massage was also outstanding. After a day of exploring the property and soaking in the springs, it was the perfect way to unwind. Food at the restaurant was another highlight. Every meal was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. It’s rare to find a resort where the food consistently matches the quality of the setting, but Rio Perdido definitely delivers. Overall, Rio Perdido strikes a rare balance: luxury accommodations, incredible natural surroundings, and a truly relaxing atmosphere. If you’re visiting Costa Rica and want something unique and memorable, this place is absolutely worth the stay."
