The hotel overall is excellent. Tasteful design and decor. Some things to improve:-
a. Don’t get me wrong. The staff is very polite and will help when we ask them but there’s a lack of professionalism among the staff. For example, during breakfast and dinner, instead of waiting at the dining area to see if the customer needs anything, they spend their time in the kitchen talking to one another. We have to call for them a few times until they hear us. I mean if I’m thousands of ringgit per night I expect a 5-star service and that clearly wasn’t 5-star.
b. The receptionist is also not there most of the time at her place. Yes, she will assist us politely when she reach her place but again you do not pay thousands of ringgit per night for this kind of service. Also, since the room with the fireplace is in another building, instead of having a person to help us with the bags to go inside our car, we have to do everything ourselves and drive up to that other building. Again and again, if I’m paying thousands of ringgit per night I would expect top notch service. A great example would be Cameron highland resort hotel. The moment we arrive, there’s staff already waiting to assist us with our bags. Unlike your hotel, we have to do everything by ourselves.
c. The food is not up to par. The food is okay but not excellent. If I were to compare case del rio, there is a starting difference.
Again, don’t get me wrong, the staff is polite but they need more training. Thank you.
