"Overall, our stay was about what we expected based on the listing. The property itself is beautiful, peaceful, and well maintained. The cabin was clean, the appliances were newer, and the bed was very comfortable. The owner was friendly and easy to communicate with. We did not have pets but it is a pet friendly environment with lots of room to enjoy the beautiful gardens and yard. We did not make it down to the river but it was very inviting and if we had more time would have been nice to check out. The only unexpected issues were that the cabin had a noticeable smoke odor, and the owners were living on the property in what appeared to be a makeshift plywood tent. While neither of these prevented us from enjoying our stay, they were surprising and worth mentioning for future guests.Overall, we had a pleasant stay and appreciated the beautiful setting and the owner’s hospitality."
