High quality Villa with stunning sea view.

The property is very comfortable and extremely well equiped, even in November the sun was on the patio from 9.30 am till it set. We had a wonderful relaxing 2 weeks.

Amazing views

This was a great property located at the halfway point of the island so easy to explore either side. Close to a lovely beach and easy sea bathing with lots of shops too. The roads are steep but then they are anywhere in Madeira. Certainly a good workout if you decide to go walking on the numerous paths.

Excellent views from Villa. Nice area at pool to sit out and have breakfast and relax. Madeira was beautiful and so different from anywhere else we have been. Driving was “an experience “.

Stunning villa

This property is so amazing. We arrived at night in the dark so it wasn’t until morning that we could see the fabulous view. The house is very well supplied and as an added touch the owner had left us supplies to make a simple dinner. Such a welcome bonus. A little surprised that the beautiful pool is only 3 feet deep. Great for little kiddies!

Great Views

The property itself is just as described, very roomy & multi level. There was a nice welcome package with some basic grocery items, unexpected & much appreciated. Two of the bedrooms had balconies which was really nice in the mornings. The kitchen was well equipped and plenty of towels in the bathrooms. We did have some difficulties reaching the manager upon arrival & had to wait around a bit. You definitely need a car to stay in the area, there are a few taxis servicing the area, very limited.

Very comfortable stay in Madeira

Our family of five stayed for five nights in March. The property was quite large, and accommodated our party easily. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with everything necessary to cook breakfast and simple meals during our stay. The TV and internet worked well. There was a small pool which we did not use, as it was quite cool during our stay, but would be lovely for a dip during the summer. The property is quite high up the mountain, which allows for great views. A car rental is definitely recommended, and secure off street parking is available. Communication with the owner and property manager were quite good. Overall a great stay in Madeira.

This villa is spectacular!

I am so glad that we booked this villa! The view is absolutely spectacular, and the inside of the villa is clean and spacious. Our children loved the pool. The view from 2 of the 3 bedrooms is incredible! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the house was really quiet. John (the host) was very responsive to our questions and offered to extend the checkout time since there was no one else booked the day of our departure. We really appreciated being able to check out without having to rush. This was our family's first visit to Madeira, and we would love to return and stay at this villa again. I highly recommend it.

Absolutely stunning!

The property was beautiful. Had everything we needed. Games room was good, pool was good, location was stunning! That view……blew me away. Had never been to Madeira, but will certainly be returning. Communication with John was fantastic. We got lost going to the villa after arriving - completely my husbands fault!! Gina’s husband came to the rescue and we followed him to the villa!! Could only happen to us!! 😂 We met Gina on the last day as we were leaving, she was so lovely. Our stay was awesome, we wanted to find time to relax, and we certainly did that. Carlos is a fab local taxi driver. Property is well located for sightseeing and relaxation and a short drive to the town of Funchal. The pool was fine for my boys, 14 & 11. Although it wasn’t a deep pool, which we knew as we had read the details before going, we made up games to play in the pool, and generally soaked up the sun. It was absolutely fine. We have returned wanting to purchase a darts board!!!! And return to Madeira.

We stayed for 7 nights and it was a wonderful location for exploring the island. The view is stunning - leave your curtains open at night to see the stars! Beds were comfortable. The host contact was easy to reach and answered all questions. Host left a welcome package of food. Overall a fantastic stay!!

Great property. We stayed for 11 days with family and i would chose it again. The location is not far from motorways going east, west and north. Very easy to explore the island from here. Ribeira Brava has a lovely black sand beach, very easy to get to by car. If you want to leave the car at home for the day, you can easily book a Bolt as well and be at the beach in less than 10 minutes.

Nice location with magnificent view

The property met all the description provided in the booking system. It was very well equiped with all we needed during our stay. The games room was a huge add on. The location was easy to find using the google maps but additionally the directions from the owner helped us to navigate. The view from the terrace and the rooms was amazing. The space outside the property was just right for our family to relax. The water in the pool was nicely heated, however the pool itself is more for cooling down or for little kids to play rather than to be used for swimming due to its depth. There were couple things at the arrival which I wanted to highlight. There was a long list of warnings on the electricity or water use, which we only received with the arrival form emailed to us before the arrival. This made us affraid of what the limitations may man in terms of the stay’s comfort and the total cost. However at the check in we were told to disregard these warnings. This made us completly lost. If only such things were listed in the booking system all the rules of the house were clear upfront. Given we were moving from one location to this property, we requested an early check in, which was impossible due to cleaning, however we were offered to drop our luggage so that we could spend the day on the planned activities. We truly appreciated the flexibility. However when returning later for the formal check in we had to wait 2 hours in front of the property awaiting the manager who had other check ins to make. If only the already established communication channel had been used by the manager, we could have enjoyed the activities or have dinner instead of awaiting the check in till 7 pm. Just minor things to improve and make the stay even more enjoyable.

No, not as it seems...

We were very disappointed with this property. Normally I would not invest the time to write a bad review but this was just too much. Before arriving we received the instructions, that contained a lot of DON'Ts, which is fine if it is a cherished family home or a well mentained rental but it just seems ridiculous in this circumstances. Pros: nice view and very friendly caretaker (Gina) Cons: 1- humidity and mold throughout the whole property. Especially in the kids rommt, there was an entire wall wet and peeling, my kids preferred to share a room with their granny. Especially because I'm asthmatic, it was a real issue and made the experience very taxing for me. 2- I asked 3 times in advance if there is a cot for my youngest, and was told 2 days before the rent, that everything was there. Just to find out on arrival that the cot has no mattress, making it dangerous, uncomfortable and unusable for the baby. We could have just brought our own, if correct information would be given. 3 - the parking on the property could not be accessed. We tried several times with our car (similar to Audi A3), but always scratched the car underneath - so we had to park on the street. 4 - no Internet in the second floor, but only in the living room. This is extremely annoying and could be fixed so easily with installing a repeater. 5 - very old, dirty and broken shower in the second floor. The water just went everywhere and the showerhead looked like it was at least 30 years old. 6- old mattresses that are extremely uncomfortable to sleep on, since they don't provide any stability. 7- outdated and not well kept deco, the whole house is kept in a red/black and white colour scheme, that itself is up to taste, but the curtains have broken seams, the fabric on the chairs is moldy, lampshades are dirty and dusty because of the material, the carpet in the play room is so dirty that my kids had to get changed immediately after using it once (and only once). Many floorboards are damaged from water and humidity. All in all this feels unloved and unwelcoming. It is one of several properties of the same owners so it is just a money making machine, but without being invested in periodically. I feel that if you are paying hard earned money on a family holiday than you deserve better than this.

Das Haus ist perfekt. Die Kommunikation einwandfrei. Das Haus ist super gelegen, allerdings ist ein Auto ein Muss. Das Haus ist in einem Top Zustand und alles was man braucht ist vorhanden. Der Pool ist mit einer max. Tiefe von 1,10 m eine super Abkühlung. Die Aussicht wird den Bildern nicht gerecht es ist 1000 mal schöner. Wenn Madeira dann immer wieder dieses Haus.

Grande maison bien située, avec une vue magnifique. Belles prestations modernes.Deux très belles chambres avec vue sur la mer. La 3ème chambre avec 2 lits simples convient pour 2 enfants.Serviettes de bains à disposition. Petit bémol, elles sentent un peu l'humidité.Nous avons passé une superbe semaine en familles, à 5 adultes. Accès facile partout à Madère pour les randonnées.
