So… for the amount that you pay per night it totally was not worth it. I said that it still was not even a refrigerator or microwave in the room. Great location but not The price. You are basically paying for location.

The property is the best in Kaiserslautern for its quality and location but it has no American TV channels and spotty Internet which is a problem for business travel. The internet did not support netflix channel either. There are more cost effective options when you factor in cost of parking and breakfast ( although the free breakfasts are generic) that the cost of the stay at this hotel can be double what some other nearby chains would be recommended which by the way at least have a few English TV programs.

Picture when booked showed a walk-in shower which I’d did not and tub made cleaning difficult. Sheets were not good, bed felt cold not sure if plastic underneath but your body would stick to the sheets. Would not recommend

Shower door was off it’s tracks, unable to operate. Old carpet heavily perfumed. AC did not work. Heated towel rack inoperable. Expected more for the price.

A/C was not working properly, the front desk staff and breakfast area staff was super friendly but they guy in the bar had an horrible attitude and treat us like he didn’t wanted to be there .

Regarding internet connection: The connection on android devices was terrible. On a Mac computer was impossible to make it work; however, on an iPad it was a smooth experience. Also, it was not pleasant to have to log in now and then because of a possible time out/ limit on the internet? Regarding the room: A well-designed room, quite amenable with a couple of minor details. First, at night furniture make crack sound. Second, even when the tv is on mute there’s sound on the speaker next to the washroom.

The first week at the property was wonderful. It was a pleasant place to avoid the heatwave in August, with A/C and plentiful food and drink available within a 5-minute walk. Unfortunately, my wife took sick with COVID during our stay. The first week, she kept to our room while I scavenged about for things to make our lives more comfortable. We cocooned, and didn't disturb anyone. A pleasant and uneventful time. After the first week, we thought we'd try to extend our stay for a few more days. We contacted the front desk about 30 hours before our checkout time, and requested to extend until Friday (3 more days). We were told that this wasn't possible, as they were booked. Well, since we were recovering, I mentioned that my wife was still testing positive for COVID. Now, in the US, the recommendation is to self-isolate for 5 days (which we'd done), then to wear a mask for the next 5-10 days (which we were doing anyway, just to help keep everyone else safe). When the manager heard that we had tested positive, she insisted that we leave *that day*, rather than the next, as the hotel did not want to deal with people who were sick. She tried to pass us off to the Kaiserslautern military base - we were tourists, and not military, so it didn't help - or the local hospital. We'd already visited the local apothecary - they'd indicated that, if my wife was not running a fever, then the hospital was not a choice. So we were being forced out a day early.

Nice hotel - overall good stay
A nice hotel overall - GREAT food in my opinion. During the very hot week of 18 July the A/C in the lobby and inside restaurant area was not working which made it VERY warm at Reception and around the Bar area and in some of the hallways. However my personal room had good A/C and was very comfortable. There was a minor issue with hot water not being available for about 24 hours but did not impact me. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and they made the best of a challenging situation. The bartender in particular was helpful and had a good attitude for working in 95 degrees heat!

Overall a really good hotel with some fundamental downsides: air conditioning only worked on a very low level - the room never got to a comfortable level so that we had to open a very small window to let fresh air in. The window was facing a central plaza which was noisy the whole night. In addition, the bathroom floor heating was on and couldn’t be turned off. When we told the receptionist that the floor heating is on he said: yes, many other guests told us already. Bottom line: we won’t be staying in that hotel again as there is no comfortable sleep possible.

This was not a nice stay. Service was sub par cobwebs in the premier spa suite, no refrigerator. The sauna shower smelled like urine. WiFi didn’t engage. Double paid for parking. Restaurant food was quite good, but service was mediocre. Celebrated gf birthday and enjoyed ourselves, but did not come close to the expectations we had especially at the price. Spent approximately $500 for one night with restaurant, drinks, parking, and the room.
