Lily Shepherd's Lodge is a brand new, large Shepherd's Hut in Mid Wales. A stones through from fantastic walks, waterfalls & scenery to explore such as Gilfach Nature Reserve & the famous Elan Valley. Sleeping two adults with the option of a pull out camp bed for a child, this property is the perfect place for a couples getaway or a small family holiday in Wales. The place was clean and cosy. Checking in and out was easy and all the information we needed was provided beforehand. There is a handy guide to use upon arrival about the accomdation and area. It was lovely to be able to have our dogs there and it had plenty of space for them to run around. Facilities were lovely with a really nice shower and bathroom. The owners were really helpful and brought us some matches for the BBQ when we couldnt find any. Could have done with a blind over the sky light but overall a really lovely stay with the added bonus of the hot tub. It is the perfect little break for my partner and I with our two dogs. We have such busy lives and love coming here to switch off. The dogs were very happy to play in the secure garden whilst we watched the sun set in the hot tub. Location is peaceful with amazing views but only a short drive away to local pubs and shops. We visited Elan Valley for a long dog walk - wow! Breathtaking views for every step. We ordered a small cooked breakfast and a continental breakfast which was presented beautifully with generous portions and enjoyed with views of the hills and sheep in the background. The pod is immaculately clean with everything you need to cater for yourself. It is decorated with the quirkiness of cows and makes you feel cosy and comfortable. I genuinely can't fault Lily for a relaxing break from reality. We love it, have been twice and have already booked to return again. Thank you for a perfect way to unwind and we will see you again soon!
