I saw this one first and it was amazing. It was off to feel like your driving in the middle of no where and then, boom, amazing glacier lagoon! Lol. I couldn't decide which boat tour to do so I chose to do both (at each lagoon). For the tour I actually liked this one better. Cozier, the guide seemed more knowledgeable, and the mountain backdrop was better. Definitely go hang out at the other lagoon on the beach, but I'd vote do the tour at this lagoon. Love the reflections!!! This was approx 3pm in June. O and I don't recommend if you want to try both tours to do them back to back. The lagoons are only 10km/10min from each other, but this tour went over for me so I missed the other one and had to reschedule it for the morning. We rigged up an “alarm” on it while we slept. Check-in was laughable. See photo. A lady who was very impatient gave me directions to a place over a mile away. She pulled out the paper in the photo and told me to take a picture. Finding the registration building was also difficult. No markings and the coordinates the gave me took me to a cabin. Do not stay, the pictures make it look nicer. The location you check in is about 5 mins down the road. The TV didn’t work but I didn’t feel like driving back to let them know. Easy to access and park. Check in took a bit of time as had to go to another property and received the code which could have come via email or message instead but was close by anyways. Property was very nice. Person at check-in was friendly and helpful. Spacious cabin with plenty of room for our family of 5\. This proved to be worthwhile since it was beautifully located in front of waterfalls and among trees. It was truly wonderful to be in an accomodaiton that allowed you to enjoy the natural beauty of Iceland. The accomodation was also very spacious and clean. My party was extremely happy to have seperate spaces in the property. We wish we were able to stay longer. Clean and we enjoyed our night there. A bit pricey for my taste but it met our needs. The check in process is weird. You have to drive to a completely different location to check in and then drive to the cottage with the code to get the key to get into the cottage. Not sure why they made it more difficult than it has to be.
