An ok hotel
First, I'd like to say that this hotel fit my needs while I was in Reykjavik and I would return. I was travelling alone to spend the New Year's holiday there, so I didn't need a spacious room and I wasn't in the room much. I needed a place to sleep and a private bathroom and that's what I got at a reasonable price. Having said that, for others the room may feel small. My room was about 100 sq. feet with two twin beds pushed together. There was just enough room to walk around the beds on each side with a little more room on the bathroom side. There was a small tv with about 10 channels, 2 in English. Wifi worked ok. There was a window about a meter square that could be opened outward about four inches for fresh air and a curtain that could be lowered to shut out the sun. there was a small end table on either side of the bed and a small closet area for hanging clothes. The bathroom was small but adequate with an enclosed shower stall. I found the room clean, comfortable, everything worked, bed was comfortable, and I had no issues with noise from other rooms or the hallway. The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful, no issues there. The breakfast was about average, plenty of it, and the staff was busy keeping more food coming and cleaning up tables. There was the usual Icelandic fare, boiled eggs, different breads, cereal, oatmeal, skyr, fruits tomatoes, cucumbers, quiche, ham, bologna, swiss and cheddar cheese, milk, coffee, juice and probably more that I can't remember.
