We loved the decoration, the customer service and help after our little issue with the heating (we would recommend the establishment to leave it ON before guest arrival, as it was cold when we arrived and we did not know how to turn it on). Restroom is the part we enjoyed the less, as the amazing shower takes all the space and the sink ends up being useless due to its super small size. We ended up using the kitchen space sink to wash our face and hands instead. The only thing we really missed was a little kitchenette where to cook basic meals. Kitchen was OK but not well-equipped. Knives were dull. No measuring spoons or cups. Not enough drinking glasses for five people. Two of the coffee mugs were cracked and unusable. Interestingly, there was a springform pan available. Only three thin dish towels were available. In no way should this be considered a “full“ kitchen as was advertised. Nice toaster, however. There was a horrible smell in each bathroom from the toilets. We have never smelled anything like this in any other bathroom in Iceland. And we’ve stayed in many. No washcloths. Only one hairdryer for two bathrooms. No shampoo or shower gel in master bath. At least two of the upstairs windows had broken fixtures; used a pasta server utensil from the kitchen to prop it open. If you have any special needs which interfere with going up and down steps several times a day then do not stay in apartment A. No bathroom on the first floor. Labels on light switches would be helpful, as would hooks in the bathrooms for hanging towels. Upstairs bedroom at the head of the stairs is SMALL! You have to crawl across the foot of the bed to get into the bed. However, there were small nightstands with nightlights and USB ports on either side of the headboard. Really no place in the small bedroom for luggage; used bathroom across the hall for luggage. Luggage stands needed.
