Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Remla?
The best area to stay in Remla is around the main port and the adjacent areas, which offer convenient access to the island's amenities and transport links.

This central area is where you'll find most of the island's activity, with a good selection of shops, local eateries, and the ferry terminal for connections to Sfax. It's a practical base for exploring the island, as many local buses and taxis operate from here. The streets near the port are generally bustling during the day, providing easy access to daily necessities and local life.

For couples looking for a relaxed beach holiday with easy access to amenities, staying on the eastern side of the island, particularly around the beaches of Sidi Salem, is an excellent choice. This area offers beautiful sandy stretches and a more tranquil setting, yet it's still only a short drive or bus ride from the main port area for dining and shopping.
When is the best time to go to Remla?
The best time to visit Remla is during the shoulder seasons of spring (April to early June) and autumn (September to October).

These periods offer pleasant weather, with warm temperatures superb for exploring and enjoying the outdoors without the intense heat of summer. You'll find the sea warm enough for swimming, and the natural beauty of the island is at its peak with blooming flowers in spring or a gentle warmth in autumn.
Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?
You can cancel your hotel reservation on Expedia, though it depends on the cancellation policy of your booking. Most bookings are refundable if canceled within 24-48 hours of the scheduled arrival. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. If free cancellation is available, you can cancel directly through your Expedia account by logging in, going to "My Trips", and selecting your reservation. To find flexible deals, filter your search by "Fully refundable property" for hotels in Remla.
How much is the nightly rate at a Remla hotel?
Prices for hotels in Remla often vary, but you can find a great deal from £30 on Expedia. All sorts of factors affect price, such as the time of year or the days of the week you choose for your stay. Find the best deals by being flexible with your dates, and sort search results by "Price: low to high" for the cheapest rate.
