"This is a beautiful old hotel property. It has great bones and the rooms have been updated and modernized nicely. That said, there are some very quirky aspects to the property. Firstly, there is no reception - just an automated machine that provides a key card. This means that there is no one to ask about parking, amenities etc. The second thing is that no one speaks English at all. The cleaning staff was very sweet but could not speak a word. "Die kommunikationsfreudige Gastgeberin war immer zur Stelle. Der Lattenrost des einen Bettes hat jede Drehung kommentiert. Ansonsten war es nachts erfreulich ruhig.Wir konnten gemütlich auf der Terrasse hinter dem Haus frühstücken. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet mit Herd, Backofen und Micro. Bei der Wärme haben wir es sehr genossen, draußen zu sitzen.Weimar war unser eigentliches Ziel, eine 30 min. Fahrt bringt einen ans Ziel.Im Sommer gerne wieder! Vielen Dank."

"Rooms need either air conditioning or better ceiling fans. When it gets hot, there is no way to get proper airflow. If you open the windows, the insects will come inside your room. Please also add a microwave to the rooms. Shower was clogged with hair and the water could not evacuate. I had to unclog the shower otherwise the water level would have risen and gone into the bedroom area."
