We appreciated the extra towels, pillows, & linens so it was never a worry we’d run out. No issues meant no need for frequent communication with Vacasa, but it was so nice knowing they were readily available if we were to need anything additional. It’s in between Rehoboth and Lewes. However, the property needs a lot of upgrade especially the kitchen. The furnishings in the house is a mishmash of chairs and sofas from the owners main house ( nothing matches)! house! The WiFi given to house at our arrival never worked and we had to use an unsecured network from Vacasa. Vacasa manages the property but they are in the west coast and you have to communicate with a chatbot. My family spent 4 nights at 70 Bryan over Christmas 2022\. The home is clean, warm, and had adequate winter accommodations for all of us. It is located in a quiet residential neighborhood with easy access to Lewes and Rehoboth. Although pet friendly in the winter, there is not ONE IOTA of this yard that is fenced. There are fences on adjoining properties, but non belong to this house. This is the second time (and the last time) I trust Vacasa to be reliable with their descriptions. Based on the bug spray available, the condition of the outdoor furnishings, and the wall air conditioner in one wing, I'm not sure I would choose this property for a summer stay. One of the biggest issue was the ant problem. We had to buy ant traps for the kitchen where the ants were the worse. Also there were some ants in the main bedroom bathroom. We never could get netflick to work so we used our computer to watch netflick. The house is very spacious and nicely decorated and fully stocked with kitchenware. There is a note in the utility room to not lock the door which we found very concerning and uncomfortable so we locked all doors as indicated in the email instructions. An issue was that Vacasa will send you an email with an offer to extend the checkout time from 1am to 2pm (cost is about $50) however they do not provide you a time frame in which to accept this offer. Vacasa is inflexible and with this offer after 24 hours and will not accept any request to extend the checkout time. An easy solution is to just put the time frame of the offer for an extension to the checkout time. This was very disappointing.
